    Basic Air Conditioning questions

John, you are on the right track, however, I would replace that 30 plus year old rear evaporator core as it appears to have been leaking. As far as you have the a/c system apart replace those parts, flush lines prior to installing new components in the rear. I would have your a/c tech add leak...

    Modifying Brake Pedal

I would imagine that if the length of pedal travel and pushrod angle don't vary too much it is worth a try especially if you have the "proper" pedal.

How about fuel filter? I would definitely check fuel pressure while monitoring if possible.

    Rebuilt Cardone Crap

If the master cylinder leaks between master and booster, the booster is probably compromised. The master is leaking as well. I would return all of the parts. Pedal going to floor is internal seal in master cylinder if there are no external fluid leaks.

    Questionable Engineering

I've come to believe that engineers putting designs on paper operate in a 2 dimensional world while the people working on the said product are 3 dimension. By the way @Vbb199, the northstar engine starter is beneath the intake manifold as well

    Resurfacing rotors, drums (esp OE)

Before purchasing the 40 dollar rotor, invest in a micrometer to measure the 6 rotors you currently have. Machine any within limits and drive on! Good luck

Ticking on the driver side of my 84 K 20

I would check brake hardware and caliper mounting as the noise goes away under braking. My truck is 2wd but had similar symptom and found brake pad anti rattle hardware loose. Good luck

What tdc tool do y'all recommend?

Doug, I made my own whistle type. Compression tester hose, small piece of fuel line hose on the compression tester adapter, and in the end of the fuel hose, the small plastic squeaker from one of my dogs stuffed animal toys! Cost me nothing and I've used it as a tech for years. Good luck

I had a 2000 outback wagon just like that after my father passed, loved it! As long as the volvo doesn't have a "coexist" sticker on the rear bumper it's okay

    Sanden Condenser Compatibility

John, if you plan to flush the rear portion of the system, make sure to remove the rear expansion valve (if equipped, I know later trucks have one) or any debris will be collected there. Good luck
