    What to do...

Not sure what year that your truck is, but HEI distributor came out in '75. Also if the shop said that they "test" the module, it is not a breaker points ignition, as they are not fitted with an ignition module Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

You'll never know what lurks beneath those valve covers! I'd be checking that prior to deeming them to be trash stock heads. Hell it's a '78 block... just sayin

    Power Brakes

If I already have the vacuum booster, I would get the vacuum hose from engine to booster, hose to intake manifold fitting, check valve that goes into booster. Proportion valve is hydraulic component, don't believe it effect brake assist on C10. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Aftermarket ECM for TBI / SPEEDUINO

Have you considered fitting an OE flex fuel system in your rig? Say an ecm and fuel module from an L59 Tahoe, Yukon, etc. Parts are plentiful and though not plug and play, could be done on the cheap! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Link Belt vs. (Double) Roller Timing Chains

I would find the best quality AMERICAN made double roller timing set and be done with it! Buy once cry once. That's a labor intensive job that I wouldn't skimp out on, kind of like replacement of an oil pump Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    New transmission help

Interesting info on the truck frames. I asked our fleet sales manager at work ( I am a GM tech) why the Duramax wasn't available in the SUVs and he said that due to the frame configuration the engine would too high up, changing the center of gravity, thus creating a rollover concern that the...

What have you done to your square lately??

Not sure about your 80 model, but think that there's a resistor/relay for the blower motor. My 87 R10 has one. I would check electrical schematic prior to condemning the switch Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I joined this forum because of good information that I read, and the mutual respect most members have towards one another. Little bit of poking fun okay too. I'm pretty well versed in electrical and willing to assist when I can. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
