    Alternator tensioner-thing?

If the alternator is okay, I'd use a heli-coil if the thread is damaged

What have you done to your square lately??

Did you research the kyb's ? Just wondering, I heard good things about them, and need to get new shocks too. I know that some trucks in the generation following the squares had Bilstein from the factory and have been considering those as well Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

What have you done to your square lately??

I didn't realize that people still use CB radio. That's old school awesome! May have to consider one for ole Bessie, or is 1987 too new? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Grille restoration

If that grille is for the 87 in your profile, good luck finding a new bowtie. I've looked and think it's a one year only piece. Let me know if you find 2!

What have you done to your square lately??

My 87 with a 305 doesn't have any sensors upstream the throttle body and it's still all factory from the radiator support to the air cleaner housing Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

What have you done to your square lately??

The latch on my sliding rear window has been broken for years! Just got to climb my big ole body into the bed and reach through to unlock her. I will fix this when I get her painted. Any thoughts on sliding rear window versus solid? Haven't decided yet Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Interior redo

That is a beautiful truck! Mine is white with carmine interior. Now I have something to aspire to when I do my interior. She's still waiting in line for paint job at work, but I'm doing a color change

Looking for the elusive disposable Th200 Non Lock-Up

I worked at an independent transmission shop from 1984 thru 1990, we wouldn't even use a pre 1986 700r4 core to rebuild because of all the issues from 82-85, and almost never built TH200's ever!

    Number of Original Circuits

I would use "C" listed acc or accessory, try that, it should power down with key off. Best bet is to use the schematic diagram for your truck

What have you done to your square lately??

No dedicated vacuum in reverse. I would check and make sure your motor mounts are not collapsed, as drive train moving too much may enhance the noise you are hearing Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

What have you done to your square lately??

I would not use flywheel. Connect to block or cylinder head Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Ls advise

Can not help with parts in Canada, but LS3 is a 6.0 litre and 1500 series truck didn't get the 4l80 transmission. Check your casting numbers and post pictures for positive verification Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Looking for the elusive disposable Th200 Non Lock-Up

??? Thought you were asking about aquiring a transmission, now this is not a friendly forum? Lighten up Francis, you got a lot of good advice/recommendations here. Good luck in your search for a transmission Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Looking for the elusive disposable Th200 Non Lock-Up

Yes, the TH350 will need a vacuum source and I think that the detent cable is different from the 200. I'm getting old! Haven't done that conversion since probably 1988! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

What have you done to your square lately??

No evidence of a leak prior to the install? That is truly bad luck, but you got a great deal on that limited slip differential right? Get the crush sleeve eliminator and a new seal. Still way ahead $$$ in the long run. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Looking for the elusive disposable Th200 Non Lock-Up

I don't believe that you have to cut the cross member, just move it. We used to do these transmission swaps back in the day. I think the frame may actually be drilled already as that body was fitted with multiple drive trains

Going to look at a military K5...

Only difference that I'm aware of was 6 bolt torque converter and case drilled and tapped for the heavy duty converter cover with braces to engine
