Others will confirm, but I would treat an aluminum prior to paint, whether it be etching or primer. Obviously follow the paint manufacturer instructions. Good luck

I'm interested to see how that tire fits. Be sure to snap a picture. How did you install the tool box? Did you use the bed mounting bolts?

Looking good. Hopefully the alignment shop has an old timer ( like me) that knows what the hell he's doing while setting your truck. Get a print out of before and after measurements. Good luck

Wish I wasn't in the middle of moving, wanted the cluster. Oh well, after I am settled in couple weeks I can go shopping!

Down at the new house, fired up Ole Bessie and brought to operating temperature. Here for about 10 days, she will be in the garage before I go back to metro Atlanta

Good call on the hub caps. Do yourself a favor and verify the wheel torque. I trust no one with wheel installation on any of my vehicle

That looks really good. I haven't done a project like this, but a friend of mine does this type of work. After all the bracing, he does floor pans and the trunk before the firewall.

Safety inspection? In Texas? Damn, I figured their only inspection would be that you are properly locked and loaded! Good luck

Nice! That R12 is like liquid gold. I've got some squirrel away too! I converted my truck to 134 years ago. Saving the good stuff for a future restoration project

Not sure about the suburbans, but the pickups had 2 different spindles. The brake rotor thickness determines which is correct. The rotors are either 1" or 1.25" thick. Find out what your suburban has before you go shopping
Brandon, the symptom you describe sounds more like a pinion bearing than spider gears. The gears in your picture look pretty good to me. Spider gears usually don't have intermittent noise.
