    My NA 327 1979 C-10 has been 12.80 @ high altitude, much quicker at sea level conditions. Thats a good run (15.90) @ 3500 feet

    Theres was a guy in the 80s that worked at the GM proving grounds in Mesa Az that had a Chevelle that was the spitting image of yours, except for the drive line, ran 11.80s then. Infact the first time I saw your car I thought you were him.....

    Never under estimate the peanut port head, 585 HP 467 with 9.3 compression 228 @ .050 hyd cam, stamped steel rockers, performer RPM intake. Example: And it looks like the set above have had work...................

    I have a customer in Canada with the same long bed truck as mine, 3.42 gear Turbo 400, not gutted, probably around 4300 pounds with a 496 it runs 11.40s but thats at altitude, should run 11.0 down low. Most of you on this forum know my shop/race truck runs 12.80 @ high altitude @ 4000 pounds...

    No, it was built for a customer. The 327 is staying in my truck until I wring every last bit of performance out of it. I'm moving to TX and my plan is to run 11s in Houston's excellent air.
