Rear Gear Install for C10 with TH350

Thanks guys, I'll be back home this weekend and I'll get those measurements. I have not dropped the tranny out of the truck, so I can get an overall measurement. Does the tranny have to come down to measure the tailshaft? My headers are long tubes and I wouldn't have any room to move the...

Rear Gear Install for C10 with TH350

I like the idea of running a 3.42 gear especially with the lower RPM's around 2400 at 60MPH. What transmission would be a nice swap with the TH350? I read that a 200r4 would be pretty much plug n play except the crossmember would need to relocate about 6' closer towards the engine. I don't...

Rear Gear Install for C10 with TH350

I have a Goodwrench 350 with 290HP. I am replacing the cam with a 480 lift / 107 degrees separation, roller rockers and adding 64cc/180cc heads. I want to add a torque converter around the 2,000 - 2,400 range to compensate the cam, but would like to replace the rear 2.73 gear with something...

    Steering Stabilizer on a C10

I just had it aligned last weekend and on a good road it tracks great. Could the tires cause this issue? The front tires are 255/45/20...

    Steering Stabilizer on a C10

Has anyone installed a steering stabilizer on a C10 before? I have completely replaced everything on the front of the truck and the steering feels good. What I have noticed is, while driving... the truck wants to follow ruts in the road and when turning I have to help steer the wheel back to...

    CPP Lowered Spindles

Here is my truck after installing new CPP modular spindles and new urethane body bushings. The truck rides and drives great with no rubbing issues at all. I gained about 1/2" away from the inside fender lip on both sides. They certainly helped.

    CPP Lowered Spindles

That's great news! Thanks. I'm going to get the Slosh Tubz installed and then see what everything looks like. I know I will have more clearance above the tire and on the sides. I think I will still need the extra room between tires and fender lips. Not wanting to roll if I don't have too. The...

    CPP Lowered Spindles

Thanks for the info! I spoke with someone at CPP and told me the modular spindles would give me about 3/4" more on each side. Was this the case on your sons truck?

Syndicate Dakota Digital vs Classic Instrument Gauges

I believe they are the same price... around $795 for either one. The standard DD gauges come in 3 different backlighting choices and the MPH are numbered as 20 - 40 - 60 etc.. While the Syndicate DD gauges come in only white backlighting color and the MPH is numbered as 10 - 20 - 30 - 40 etc...

    CPP Lowered Spindles

Has anyone installed CPP spindles before? I have heard these spindles give a more narrow track width than other aftermarket spindles. I currently have McGaughy's 2.5" drop spindles installed with 2" coils, but trying to compensate for the so called 4.5" drop. It ended up being 5.5" drop. I have...

You should contact Dakota Digital and tell them you didn’t receive that piece. They should send you one.

Finally getting to drive it 4/6 drop

Awesome! Thanks. I have the 4.5/6 Mcgaughys kit in mine with 255/45/20 front and I have rubbing issues. Wheels are 8.5 wide with 4.75 BS. Mine measures: 26.75 FR 27.25 FL I think I need to install 1” springs instead of 2”.

Syndicate Dakota Digital vs Classic Instrument Gauges

They are really easy to install. Yes, the OEM gear shifter mounts directly to the gauges and a clear cover has to be glued to the backside of the dash bezel.

Finally getting to drive it 4/6 drop

Hey man. Great to hear about your engine! I’m glad you got it figured out. Do you know what the fender lips to ground measurements are on your truck? I like the setup and stance!

Here are a few pics of nighttime and daytime look on the gauges. Also pics of the DD control box wiring.

Syndicate Dakota Digital vs Classic Instrument Gauges

I just got my gauges installed. They look nice. Glad I went with them. When I turn on my headlight with the ignition off, the comfort control light come on but the gauges lighting does not... until I turn the key to the ACC position. The wire I have going to the DIM on the DD box has power when...

    HELP!! McGaughys 4.5/6 kit issues

Thanks man. When the truck was on the lift, I had to push the suspension up to mount on the shocks. This is definitely an issue. Once I get new tubs installed, I'm ordering correct length shocks!!

Lowering kit is lower than expected... issues!!

Yeah I did. Thinking I had 2 separate issues. Tom at Switch Suspension told me to put the wheels on the truck and get it onto all 4 on the ground. Then measure center of shock mount to center of shock mount (top to bottom). I did what he asked and I even told him the shocks were too short. He...

Could you post a pic of your truck? What size are your tires/wheels on the front?

Lowering kit is lower than expected... issues!!

Yep. that's true. And 1" taller springs is certainly not out of the question. The tires do not rub the fender lips.... but it is very close! I could roll the lips, but I am taking one step at a time.

Hey thanks man!! I ordered a set of Slosh Tubz today. That will fix the issue.

Minus air shocks and the mullet!! Lol. I am a product of the 70’s and 80’s. I definitely wanted the rake just didn’t expect that much. It’s growing on me!
