    Keith, Glad this was brought up. My 74 c10 LWB rear springs have 8 (7+1). As you can see the SPID shows option G50-Heavy Duty Rear Spring. I want to know if there is a standard number of rear leafs for 1/2 ton LWB? I think mine may be similar to what has been called Heavy Half?

    Thanks for all the input. After thinking more, I decided to test to see if problem was cap or other things. Truck sat for 24 hrs. Disconnected hoses from canister, plugged carb line, loosened cap and drove for about 40 miles. Let truck sit for 30-45 min., reconnected hoses, cap and drove around...

    Thanks. That was what I was wanting to know. My 74 did not come with one of course but I recently purchased one and I did not know the factory location. I got one cause I like it. Not sure why someone does not recreate an upgraded one. They might be a good seller.

    All I'm saying, is, I when I purchased them from Oreilly for both trucks is I do not remember the rear brakes sizes being a factor for the front flex hoses. All of them fit correctly. Unless the 80's models are different than the 70's. Then if so, my bad.

    I have replaced front flex hoses on a 72 and a 74 and rear brakes sizes were not a factor in purchasing the hoses for the front. Front disk brakes/drums may be a factor but I don't see what the rear has anything to do with the front.
