    Looking good. Ceramic coating is great. My 2015 z28 had it applied by the dealer when new. At first I thought, why but glad it's there. After 5 years it still looks new.

    Have been through the swap on my K5. Since you have a k20 with TH400 the spline count would be 30. 4l60e would be 27. I would recommend a 4l80e trans as this is essentially a TH400 with overdrive. This way you keep the strength needed for a 3/4 ton. You will also need an electronic t-case or...

    It shows manual in the side description. 454/7004 was not an option from the factory (that I know of). They stayed with TH400's until 1991 when it received a 4L80e.
