    Also try to find a k not c frame. The leaf hangers are different. Not to mention control arms vs straight axle in the front.

    HVAC vacuum from LS

    For my 6.0 ls swap I took vacuum from the manifold where the Evap solenoid was located. Used a brass barb. Then ran the line to a vacuum ball. Then tied into original HVAC.

    Same, my 87 r10 doesn't have any holes. My 82 k5 had the holes. Both have original metal.

    Choke Wire 1406

    I recently connected my choke wire to the inside of the cab. It was easier to find an ignition hot wire next to the fuse block. It's the red wire connected to pink. Reminds me I need to make it a little nicer.

    Looks like my 78 k10, buckskin with black exterior. My hard plastic moldings, eg a-pillar and headliner, are also a little lighter than the door panels.

    The support bar in my 78 k10 is missing. It has the large bolts still in the t-case so I assume it had one. Has the original TH350 and np203. Does anyone have one? Also would one from a 81+ with a np208 be the same rod? Thanks

    Speaking for your truck, do not cut or splice the harness. Use an adapter like this. The three factory plugs go into the black connector and the new radio is connected to the wires.

    I have to do similar to my 78 k10. The right corner has a rust spot. Cut a section from a 77 c10 and will weld in. Also bought a new gasket. The video skims over some details but essential what I did to replace my k5 glass last year. Like he mentions, need to push the seal into the corners...

    One item not mentioned is the tailgate. There is a difference between the 70s and 80s. Also the trunnions are different, the are bigger than the 81+ It may not matter to you if you buy an 81+ bed with tailgate unless you want to backdate. Filler necks are also a little different.     The 12 bolt will bolt up to the 10 bolt truck. No issue. I believe the yoke is also the same size so the driveshaft will bolt up as well. You may just want measure the u joint to make sure.
