    Picked up a 1987 R10

It appears to have the factory bed rails. My 87 had those on when I bought it. A rare option and are usually gone. Mine are now in the attic.

    Upgrading 1987 R10 A/C to R134a parts / questions

Not hard to do if you have all the pieces from the donor. Same type of compressor but yes different since the pulley is for serpentine. You do have to take the brackets, fan, fan clutch, alt, water pump etc... I basically took all of the front accessories from the burb.

    Upgrading 1987 R10 A/C to R134a parts / questions

Per Summit's application guide the replacement should work for you R10. I just went with an AZ replacement as most are rebuilds of the originals.

    Upgrading 1987 R10 A/C to R134a parts / questions

When I converted my 87 R10, I replaced all of the AC components as well. While I was there, changed from v-belt to serpentine setup from a 90 burb. Have been running 134a for the last 4-5 years.

    Old Delco 2700 "ETR"

Still have one in my 87. One cool feature is you can check the time by pushing in the volume button when the truck is off.

Filling a k10 wheel well, best wheel to tire ratio

79 and 80 share the same grill. A 79 would have round eyes unless changed by the owner. 80 is the only year for the squircle.

Filling a k10 wheel well, best wheel to tire ratio

I run 33x12.5r15 on my 82 K5 with a 3 inch lift. No rubbing with AT or MT tires. I've had both on there.

Hello All New Owner 77 C10 BIG BLOCK

Welcome from TX. I've been to London before and through Heathrow many times. You certainly have a unique truck for England. Yes the 454's like gas. I would have canceled my trip too. DFW airport is close to me. Thanks. It's saddle metallic, only used a couple of years on squares.

    383 Stroker or 6.0 LS??

Np. Escalades have a 4l65e. They are stronger than a 4l60e but not as strong as the 4l80e. The other nice thing I had with my swap is both original driveshaft still worked. Mileage I'd estimate at 18. I have a 3 in lift and 33x12.5 in tires. I'll moving to 3.73 gears so it may change.

    383 Stroker or 6.0 LS??

My thoughts from someone that LS swapped a 4x4. As mentioned, you are miles ahead with having a '90 FI truck. You have the proper gauge cluster, and electronic t-case for VSS. You also have the FI fuel tank and correct sender. Just need a different fuel pump. Since you are traveling cross...
