    so voltmeter is totally not working. When probing the two terminals on it voltmeter, I do not get any OHMS reading between them at all. So I am guessing the resistor is dead? I checked the harness itself. All grounds have continuity, as do the temp and pressure leads, and they are attached...

    so water, volt and oil all tested fine independently using the 9v batter. I am missing one of the little clips for the volt meter. No idea where that went. Can they be sourced? If they are no longer available but from a junkyard, what years would have them as you all know the old trucks are...

    thanks all. Finally found that metra kit on late night intenet search and ordered it. Im guessing that is why the PO bent the ears back instead of cut them out, so that it may be returned to a two post.

    its already been hacked. I can either weld this back up, or weld in a patch panel I guess. Ill have to look into the 2 knob thing. do you mean a retro sound radio?

    Seat belt retractor

    my 87 shoulder belts have a tumbler device in them that cams a lever up to lock the belts. They retract when the door is open, and otherwise not very well. Its pretty annoying.

    the seat belt uses a 12 1.75 bolt but I "think" they are a cutting thread??? Has anyone used a standard metric thread pitch without issue?

    so I popped the "cup holder" portion of the console off. Its a nice flat area now that would be easy to make a fill plate. Just need to find a press in style cup holder.

    nope. I have the gasket. Even the factory ones are loose and kept falling out of the factory housings, but both sockets and housings were fairly worn. Was thinking new sockets and housings would resolve my issue, but did not. Wonder if there is an unpdated socket and bulb that would work...
