As promised a follow up for the fellas interested. I got out this morning and kicked ass. Headers in about 7 hours total, Changing oil and cutting out old exhaust included. They fit perfect. Cleared the head bolts and starter, kind of tight near the oil filter, but no worse than the shitty... -

Ooooooh yeah. The bling showed up today. Summit is fast af. Ordered them yesterday afternoon. Mufflers should be here today and pipe kit tomorrow. Should be a fun weekend. -

Mine too. Kid didn't even use tape, just twisted the wires up and let them bare and exposed. -

Ordered the new headers, exhaust pipes, and mufflers. Setting up to get the gas tank out this weekend to fix the rear wiring. Might say F it if the wiring is too crunchy and cut up and just order a painless kit. -
How to fix loose gm steering column
Thanks to you fellas and this thread, I got my tilt pulled down, lock tighted up, and back together. All switches work, key lock works. All good and no wobbles. Thanks loads for the guidance.- Knight84

Steering column clip identification
Hey fellas, I had this clip fall out of the column while fixing the loose bolts for the tilt. It fell out of the area where the column bearings are. Any idea where this goes?- Knight84

SBC 350?!?!?
Why would 2-bolt mains make it not a 305? 305 can have 2-bolt main caps. You can check the Harmonic balancer, How wide and the diameter. RPO code can help you too. You might have to find a few different numbers on the engine and check all of them against this link...- Knight84

What new tools have you got lately?
I bought a rivet nut tool and rivet nutserts for my high hump install. Freaking awesome fasteners. Got them installed and now no reason to have to get under the truck if I need to remove it. -

Started the column repair. Based on the pinned thread I'm probably going to screw it up. These things are a bit complicated, but hey guess I might end up with a new coulmn if I jack it up bad enough..... -

Protecting catalytic converters?
Lmao. With a cage they will just go a little lower on each pipe and cut the cage off later. I don't see a way to stop a crackhead that needs a bump real bad. Maybe put a twenty in a zip lock bag and duct tape it to the frame near the cat. Easier to snatch the $20 VS. the cat and go get some...- Knight84

So Does Everyone HATE This Steering Wheel?
My wife loves the oem. I like it alot too. Took a minute to get used to the thinness of it, but the burb is already the size of a short bus, might as well have the same size steering wheel from a bus too. -

Pretty much just looked at mine. Put the ac vent on the new bezel from LMC. Their bezel looks great. Waiting now on column parts to show up, and this week I'll pull the grill and paint it closer to factory color. Sockets showed up too but I've got to pull the gas tank and sort the wiring for the... -
