    I read somewhere on a stock engine the additional flow of hot air is no improvement over the stock restrictive cold air setup, it just sounds like it is.

    do not do a stock 350 tbi swap, you will be very disappointed. Same physical size, same cubic dollars to make fast. They are not. cheap 5.3 and turbo will make it fast as you dare. Id jump on one for $600 and get the 4l80 also.

    Never in the crankcase I always used ATF for that. Id add it right before the oil change and drive it for a few days (short distances) then change it.

    if its working fine and your not searching for every last tenth at the track leave it. If its not working its a good time to switch but, you will need a fan with a shroud that covers 70% of the radiator. Fans without shrouds only work in situations where the radiator is bigger than needed...

    first the hvac system is never off, the duct doors will always be open I dont know if max ac setting caused them to recirculate the interior air and closed off the duct for exterior air blowing across the heater core. second check your heater control hoses for a valve that would block flow...

    Changing from restrictive intake manifold and exhaust will cause the engine to be leaner than it was an will require adjusting the carb to correct. Any time you change the cam you should check the timing and make sure it matches the timing curve of the cam to be optimized.

    in my mind no, not sure if it will actually come apart or not but more importantly its a whole lot harder to drop a screw in the engine if the carb is not on the engine.

    I was looking at this thinking how can they not work? I took an R4 from a 90s camaro with the serp swap and bolted the lines from my 79 vette to it. Not sure if they sealed or not havent tried to charge the aC.

    Its not that bad I replaced the one on my truck. If you are serious about going to 1 tank a change tot he 20 gallon tank would be a minimum recommendation followed by the suburban tank swap Sounds like a good reason to put in an OD transmission to me.

    It doesnt determine routes like it switches paths to the radiator or the engine it merely allows coolant to flow or not to flow. IT doesnt hold coolant in the radiator to cool it holds it in the engine till it gets up to temp, it overheated because the coolant wast staying in the engine...

    I believe none are 4 bolt mains, they are all 6 bolt mains.
