Thingamajig I believe it is called, there are stuff out there for cars a guy on the corvette forum just uploaded the .sti file to print your own adapter to install the more powerful C4 blower in a C3.
Are you replacing the entire underhood harness? The wires on the left side of that bulk head almost burnt my car to the ground, i took the bulk head apart and they had melted the plastic in there from the heat of corrosion and wasnt making good contact. I suggest you split that bulk head and...
With the older truck the fuel tank switch and valve probably wont have the power wire for the intank pumps to switch correctly. You would either need to wire that in to correct the issue or swap to the blazer tank under the rear of the bed.
if those codes are right you could have damaged the catalytic convertor with the excess unburned fuel causing it to clog, if it has been removed thats obviously not the case, but those two things you listed will cause bad mpg. also you said there is soot on the outside of the manifold? That is a...
continually moving helps keep the body flexible and from becoming stiff and to rigid to lean over a fender of a car/truck. Plus if you are walking for exercise anyway why not get paid for it?
Get a scanner on the truck to make sure all the sensors are functioning, check engine lights only tell you there is a probloem not what the problem is on these older trucks. My guess is the coolant temp sensor for the ecm and yes there should be an o2 near the manifold usually driverside, does...
Its alot easier and cheaper to find a 6.0 from a truck than it is a 6.2 from a vette/newer truck, not to mention the cost of trying to use a 6l80/90e in a swap with a 4x4.
Really? A freind of mine had an 83 Monte Carlo with the 5.7 Diesel in it, after years of battling with issues he swapped it for a gasser and couldnt give the diesel away except to a scrapyard. he said he even called Mondello and they didnt want it.
I daily a 2010 Corolla, bought it model year close out and literally on things I have done to it are oil changes, air filter, wipers, tires, brakes, trans axle oil and it has 165K.
I spoke to my rep for Schaeffers and he told me the formula for the diesel oil I had been using in my vette changed and no longer is recommended for HFT cams. Looks like its back to the $7 a qt racing oils or Valvoline.
I am betting there is a difference in oil circulation, and height that could cause problems. If it were me I would buy the one intended for a SBC roller cam engine as they possibly wouldnt require some rare hard to find expensive push rod. K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid)
