Haha, those are awesome. I can't believe I've never seen/heard of them before.

Yea, now that I've thought about it for a while, I'm thinking that is what we did.

Man, I want a GMT400 now too. Except mine would be a 2-door Tahoe.

    6.2 Overheating Woes

Hmm, it was a while back when I put mine together, but I don't remember doing that. I had my brother helping me and we used a GM service manual. Maybe he did it while I was working on something else.

Ran the C20 off in a ditch

Cool! Glad to hear you're going back with the Apple red. I'm not a big red fan, but I love that color.

Interior upgraded after surfing old posts

Looks good! I have a set of buckets like that I need to put in my truck, but I can't get excited about building brackets. I guess I don't have a center console yet either.

    6.2 Overheating Woes

I probably wouldn't pay to get them cleaned up if it's just that combustion chamber. You could probably clean that up pretty good yourself without too much trouble.

JUST KICKING MYSELF!!! Wanted, 1974 1/2 ton 4x4

Most people refer to the sm465 as a 4-speed. Everyone I know does anyway.

    Saddle Blanket Covers?

The last 2 I bought did the same thing. Lasted maybe a year and just turned to dust. The best seat covers I've found as far as durability are those camo vinyl/canvas? type seat covers. They're uncomfortable and noisy though.

    Ball Joint Replacement First Time!

You are suppose to remove the sleeve and replace it when you replace the ball joint. If you get a quality ball joint like Moog it will come with a new one.

Dang, I need these too. Money is tight right now though. I agree with chengny, put them on eBay and you'll make a bundle. Sent from my Kindle Fire HDX using Tapatalk

    Always working alone...

I have a couple friends that will help me, but they both moved out of town so that doesn't happen too often. The one has a wife and kids now so he rarely has time anymore. The other one is pretty much like Irishman said, he just isn't meticulous enough for me. He gets mad and breaks things too.

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

YES. That 72 is beautiful. The only thing I would change about it is the wheels. I wouldn't mind having that 94 Blazer either.

    back of the cab

I would suggest a little more than 1/4" thick if you're going to mount an amp on it. I would go at least 3/8's if not 1/2". Then go to an audio shop and buy some of the carpet they cover sub boxes with and some spray glue like 89_3&3 suggested.

    Odd steering behvior

Are you going to get a reman steering box? I've wondered how good those would be since I don't think they replace the gears. Just the seals and what not.

opinions on these wheels on this truck needed (pics)

I vote no. You could buy some decent new wheels for that price. Granted that'd be without tires.

    Hello from the PNW

Welcome! That is one of the nicest original 70's Chevys I've seen. Around here they're usually in pretty sad shape.
