    Fixed my blower problem! After testing all the wires at the blower relay I noticed there was a ground wire hanging out of the bundle of wires that was disconnected. Hooked it up and BAM, high speed worked. Cleaned up the grounds on the blower motor while I was there and it seems to run a little...

    That's the thing, for the money it would cost to do most of these swaps, I could just buy a brand new Optimizer 6.5 which would swap in easy. I'm not in it for monster power. A Duramax swap would be cool though :drool:

    Give these a try Dorman part #703264 Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 20046147, 20429500, 38400, 6271989, 9712804, 9721917 I can't seem to find a part # for the spring, but I know LMC and a few other places carry it. Seems like I've seen it at Oreillys before.

    They're legal until you get a ticket for em :burnout: Around here as long as you have a muffler, you're legal. You can, however, get a ticket for being too loud no matter what muffler you have.

    Thanks for the link! Yea, most of mine are out of the packages too, I've just packed them away in boxes recently while I do some remodeling. People always give me grief for taking them out of the packages and I say who cares, I'm not planning on selling them anyway.

    I thought that too, but I put a new switch in and still no high. I haven't tried tracing it down anymore than that.

    Wha?? This I would like to hear about. Mine doesn't move enough air to keep the windshield defrosted. Of course it doesn't help that High doesn't work for some reason...

    Is the spring fairly easy to replace with the pins out? My drivers door is missing the spring and if it's easier to replace with the pins out, that would be a good excuse to do it all at once.
