they make sockets for square nuts and bolts. but it might be easier to just grind/cut the off. always work on the side you can't see. that way if you make a mistake it's no biggie. oh btw the sockets are called double square sockets. highdesertranger

    Factory dual battery wiring

yeah you didn't do anything wrong. you just did what the factory did. yes GM used way to small wire on the charging circuit so did every other manufacturer. just the way they did it. it's kinda like the headlight wire circuit, it works but an upgrade makes a huge difference. highdesertranger

Bought a 1984 parts truck... how can i use the fenders/hood?

the doors are a direct swap, the fenders are not. the fenders will bolt right on but the hood hinges are different the core support is also different. getting the hood to work is a pita. imo it's far better to keep the front clip as it should be. highdesertranger

    Factory dual battery wiring

couple of hints, the battery of the same age, type applies when they are hard wired together. like on a diesel, when on a solenoid dual battery system it doesn't matter. next those factory wires for the dual battery are way to small. for that matter the factory charge wire for a single...

    Motor Mounts 101

I used the buckets off the 454. the buckets mount to the block. then I used the 350 motor mounts because they mount to the frame. the 454 motor mounts use the other hole that the op was inquiring and the frame is not drilled for that bolt. so unless your truck came with a 454 or you drill...
