    1979 350 egr issue

Yes, but operation of the valve before the engine is fully warmed up may cause stumbling or hesitation.

    CCC Computer Command Control explained.

They have been amazingly durable, with a great commonality of components across makes, models and years (though I understand the 1980 Cali system is an odd duck). User accessible diagnostics with a paper clip. Compare that to some of the absolute crap from other manufactures of the era. So sad...

    Extra Bulkhead ?

Single switch out on the end of the turn signal stalk that pushed in to set the cruise on a factory system of the era. The word 'Cruise' typically wore off. Aftermarket typically had a little slide switch too out on the end of the turn signal stalk.

    Extra Bulkhead ?

The complexity of the module and number of wires suggest cruise control to me. Can't say I've looked at one of the vintage. Although, I could see that looking like a glow plug controller too. The switch above the accelerator pedal is the downshift switch for a Turbo 400.

Thoughts on Buying a Cheap 2nd Gen Camaro?

You may be right. Jesse's pic looks like it has a the stainless band around the perimeter for the aftermarket cut (like aftermarket sunroofs too), but I won't swear to it. I guess the bigger question is whether there were OEM reinforcements on factory T-Tops. I assume (you know what happens when...

Thoughts on Buying a Cheap 2nd Gen Camaro?

Those aftermarket t-tops will definitely add to the body flex, for which those are already known.

    Cheap Caprice(s)

I had recalled that about the flow rates too, but I couldn't recall where I had heard that, or if it was accurate.

    Cheap Caprice(s)

The big cars did not get the aluminum heads like the F bodies and Corvette. One of the reasons they were rated at 260 HP.

    Steering Column swap

The lower steering shaft has to stay with the column. The coupler where the column and shaft join is different between those years.

    1980 El Camino

In case anyone wonders the reason a normally aspirated Buick 3.8L / 231ci V6 was in a Chevrolet, is because it was the base engine with California emissions. The Chevy 3.8L / 229ci was the base 49 state engine from 1980-1984 in B and G bodies.

My 3rd Car, a FREE 1990 Olds Cutlass Supreme

Besides what Bucket said, the tensioner leaned away from the engine when ours was failing on the '96 3100. The CS130 alternator will always be in some stage of bearing failure / squeak too. The electric fan motors are throw away, junk. I've learned when they have any sort of click or noise, when...

    1979 250 I6 Running Rough

Deceleration valves were typically seen more on manual transmission vehicles (on GM 4 & 6cyl engines). The high vacuum situation on deceleration (which causes a lot of fuel to be pulled through the carburetor) caused a rich condition (high CO and HC). This was especially bad with manual...

Those first generation Multitech injectors are done at 200K. They were rather trouble prone with fuel damaging the windings, which cause the resistance to go DOWN. Good ones measure right around 12.9 ohms, IIRC. Ones that are lower are dying. They tend to get worse with heat and can...

No changes under the hood or motor. I plugged everything in at the dash when I changed over my '78.

By the way, LED for gauges suck.

Even among 'good' LEDs, some have a very diffuse light (think flood light bulb), while some have a very focused light (like a spot light). Having ones that are very focused in instruments would give a light and dark effect, like bad back lighting on an LCD TV.

    1984 K5 Blazer Idling Rich-California Emissions-Coolant Sensor?

I've noticed that as well, but never seen it in writing. I assume it wasn't proper for an Olds or Buick to start clicking when the key was turned on.

See if the horn gets 12v when you press the button. I'll bet they are internally corroded.

Sadly, I can't provide much help. The one thing I will mention is that components can be arranged differently between different division cars of the same chassis. I'm not surprised if you find different locations listed.

Good, I'm glad you found that one. Since you had shown us the weird, interior fuse panel, I was concerned you may have not known about the other. The A-body also has a glove compartment accessed fuse panel. There is also a fuse taped to the harness, behind the fuse panel, that can only be...

I don't see the bleeder above the WP in your pictures either. It's amazing to me all the variations in these, even in the same years, especially between the various chassis.
