    Super swampers on a dully

Original TSL Has a harder compound I think. Had 30k on a set that still had 10/32 left. Ultimate traction tire and killer looks. Only thing that stops them is ice covered pavement! You would have to run pretty thick spacer for them to run a dually rim

best 10 Bolt gears for highway and low end torque

3.73 is a good starting point. Any higher than that and you will lose all your torque pulling on highway

    Removing Trans and T-Case

yeah one of my best investments. i've parted out over 20 trucks and fixed many others using it alot safer on the ground than floor jacks or trans jacks. i've used it for dropping axles also.

    Removing Trans and T-Case

I pull every out the front with a skid loader when i'm stripping a truck for parts. its a lot of weight if u r using a cherry picker. i use a four wheeler jack when i'm dropping a trans/t-fer case separately from engine.

    Surface rust (and more) questions

I've painted 2 trucks and several trailers with POR15. Both trucks came out fine. one of my trailers did get surface rust on paint. not sure what went wrong on it. prep work is most important step on any paint job. They do make a clear coat POR15 product. I'm thinking about using it on my...

Aftermarket Ring and Pinion/Diff. Who do you buy and why

Take my advise on true Trac. Last limited slip posi I had in a truck didn't last long. I had to reshim it twice. I have the true Trac in my daily driver. I've put about 14000 miles on it now. Works great

Some T case identification help please.

You have a NP203 Tfer. Input shaft spline count is different from auto and manual trans. Trans is from 2wd. Not sure u can adapt it to 4wd tfer. Would recommend finding a complete set up together. Trying to get correct adapter can be tough and expensive too.

    Manual transmission options

I'm running a NV4500 with 3.73 rears and 265/75R16 tires. Easily cruise at 70-75. If u r running a taller tire your current ratio would work great with it.

Aftermarket Ring and Pinion/Diff. Who do you buy and why

I've used Richmond gears in several builds. Last one I used a Detroit true Trac differential. Better than standard limited slip plate posi.

Rear Leaf Center Pin and Clamps

Pin just fits in a hole on the bracket on axle tube. I forgot to mention I did have add a shim on my cucv to correct pinion angle after installing the shackle flip kit

Rear Leaf Center Pin and Clamps

Here is a pic of my CUCV. I put the 4" ORD shackle flip kit on. I also removed the 1" spacer that was between the spring pack and over load spring. I put it below the spring pack as a lift block. It has 6" lift springs on front. I think my axle is still sitting pretty much centered.

    Axle aligment after axle swap

Best way to do on alignment rack. I had TK that was off 1/4" use can get it close pulling measurements from frame. Then get alignment done to fine tune it

Rear Leaf Center Pin and Clamps

I just use grade 8 bolt and grind down head. Use can use 2 large jaw panel vise grips to hold spring pack in place while removing pin. Spray it good with rust penetrate. They can be tight sometimes

Squarebody Suburban 2nd (or 3rd) Row bench in a pickup?

2nd row would be tough to use. its a 4 piece seat and the brackets would not work on truck bed. The third row seat possibly would work. Use would have to cut out the floor pockets for the seat brackets from a donor Burb.

    Rear end question

Those numbers r casting numbers. you will have to look at the right axle tube to find the code. it is stamped on frt of the tube about 3-5" outboard of the center carrier housing. From my experience it can be quicker to pull the cover than spend 30 minutes trying to clean crude and rust off of tube.
