Truck pulls to the right.
Get a cheap heat gun they are about $20. Make a few harder stops. Jump out and check rotor or drum temps. Whatever is cooler than the rest is the problem corner. Does sound more brake related but also be aware loose steering/suspension parts can create a pull very similar to uneven brake... -

A non-functional EGR would likely fail on NOx. Stuck open [even slightly] would increase HC substantially. EGR provides inert gas to intake charge to cool the combustion process. Back when we checked emissions this state published a little pocket book with all the OEM required devices by brand, model, year, engine and GVW. California should have something similar available. Wish I would have saved it.- fast 99

Assume is has a relatively stock cam? High HC is anything other than excess fuel. Could be over advanced timing to a weak EGR spring, ignition misfire, lean, ect. Vehicle does need to be warm however HC that high should be fixed. Engine is not happy.- fast 99

Super easy to find exhaust leaks with one. Remove the steel part, just use the hose. Every time it puffs out makes a very obvious sound.- fast 99

1984 C30 Dually Brakes
Believe there is only .080 of material before minimum, really not that much. Get metal to metal, they are done. Agree there seems to be a lot of material but when cut too far there isn't enough mass to dissipate heat. Then there is that pesky liability.- fast 99

Front and rear wheels are interchangeable, drop center. Bearings on both ends need to be centered under wheels. TBI Harness Pigtails
Some of the more common connectors are available new, they are expensive considering what they are. There is a lot of commonalities between GM lines, cars are the same, used? -
Wiring--Engine Heat Protection
Vortec small blocks have a factory shielding in the right side around the exhaust manifold area. Material is snaped together and easy to install. I procured several from a pick and pull for only a couple dollars. Handy for other uses as well.- fast 99

How much you think a rollback is worth
Should be a 17' deck. What do you mean by stinger? Does it have a horizontal tube structure or just a provision for a ball hitch? Those are a little tricky, only because actuator rod needs to be timed and several small parts that need lined up. You will need the tool to push down on the steering lock and puller to remove hinge pins. Take lots of pictures during disassembly. Don't use the steering wheel to pull yourself...- fast 99

Assume it isn't tossing codes otherwise you would mention it? Possible ignition missfire? Distributor caps are a problem on those, especially if any brand other than Delphi or GM is used, will crossfire within the cap. Check coil tower for corrosion. Installing Sensors
Never use Teflon tape on hydraulics or anything else that a piece of it can clog an orifice. Have used anerobic Teflon in a few harder to seal applications. Usually not necessary on anything SB.- fast 99
