    Brakes locking up

If you do suspect wrong pushrod there is a tag wire procedure to check it. Takes 2 people. Remove all the fluid in the master. With a small piece of wire insert in the smaller front port. If wire can't be easily inserted, you have found the problem. Have the helper VERY slowly with hand only...

    Brakes locking up

Apply brakes then open bleeder on caliper. Is residual pressure present and when doing that do the rotors turn freer? Description sounds like something isn't allowing all the fluid to return. Takes very little pressure for disc brakes to drag.

And here I thought the Boss Mustang folks were the only ones that didn't get along, silly me.

Factory 3 point seat belt harness.

I tried an aftermarket belt set. With carpet thickness was going to require rework of mounting hole. They might fit ok without carpet don't know. Elected to rebuild/restore original set [with new buckles] was expensive. Did not know GM had issues with buckles. Seems like such a simple item to...

Factory 3 point seat belt harness.

https://www.gmsquarebody.com/threads/3-point-seat-belts-%E2%80%9876-c10.35745/ Usually retractor issues are just dirt, coffee or soda spilled inside. They are overbuilt for obvious reasons.

    Jack ideas?

Found an old cab organizer at local pick and pull. Set the jack in the corner stays there ok. Could be more firmly mounted on the other side. Also have the original jack under hood but those are getting hard to find.

    Bypass hose

Bypass is designed to circulate coolant before thermostat opens to reduce hot spots. Might be other reasons as well.

    87 burb master cylinder

Agree, aluminum masters were used on HD trucks in the late 80's into the 90's [I owned several]. Brakes were decent but not nearly as good as the old JB 8 system. One thing I really disliked about the aluminum masters was the lid. A few times the inner rubber seal folded allowing air and dirt...

    87 burb master cylinder

Put the same one back on unless VERY positive it will work. You don't know what might or might not be different. Could be outlets, bore diameters, piston construction, travel, ect. Need to be very careful when modifying brake systems. From what I have seen aluminum masters are usually on...

Fuel gauge moves around while driving

Have several loose gauges. Quick ohm check [not isolated] mostly confirms the Hatzie post.

    Fuel guage bounces?

Know the gauges bounce somewhat from open design of the tank. This gauge bounces rapidly from full to empty when driving with 1/2 tank. It is NOT normal. No way GM would have sold a new vehicle like that. Not opposed to replacing the gauge if that will fix it. Just asking if there is another...

    Fuel guage bounces?

bump Kind of curious on this one too. 85K20 tach cluster, small fuel gauge lower left. Thought of installing inline condenser, suspect bad gauge.

    1983 Chevy K10 Cab Search

Would help if you provided the area you're at. Finding a cab is easy at least in the NW. Shipping cost another story.

To bleed or not to bleed, that is the question.

Most likely reason for no bench bleed is possible damage to internal seals if bottomed out. Have seen that happen. The felt if that's what it is possibly dust filter of some sort.

    Edelbrock Carbureators,and Chinese Distribuors etc.etc.

One reason I don't suggest tossing rebuildable/repairable parts. Another is unknown quality.

    Radiator condenser combo.

Did you try Rock Auto? Just looked they have a large selection. Most replacements today are aluminum. Bought one for an 85. Fit was very good.

    Verify defect fuel sending unit

The hoses are a PITA. Either unbolt bed as described above or back 4 cab bolts and block it up. I tried unbolting beds on a couple, but the carriage bolts just spun. Was less work to jack the cab up.

    International Dump truck

A little more information would help. Juice brakes on 2+ tons can be very time consuming and expensive to fix right. When you say brakes don't work does that mean pedal goes to floor or high and hard? Were wheel cylinders replaced, drums turned adjusted, and if it does have a booster under...

Help: 85 305 Suddenly Stalling in Gear

Shutting off first thing to check is spark. There are many issues that can cause it, but number 1 is module second would be a coil or pickup. If a moule is replaced use enclosed dielectric on base. Be sure and check for power supply at distributor first. Without being there next would be a...

    Door Seal to big

How squeezed is the weatherstrip on the hinge side? Had the same issue, due to manufacturing tolerances [or lack thereof] one of mine was very tight and hard to close. It's been a year now with the door shut most of the time. It has finally come out of it.

    Cross pin bolt snapped

Get a GOOD new left-hand drill bit or 2. If you're lucky drill will stick and back the piece out. That worked many times for me on exhaust manifold bolts.

    79 k20 400 running rough, can't figure it out.

Check fuel pressure and volume first. Most of what you describe could be caused by a fuel related issue. No reason to go any further until that is eliminated. Numbers are for a Q-jet. Has the filter been checked or replaced? It's behind the inlet fitting on the carb.

    79 k20 400 running rough, can't figure it out.

Check fuel pressure and volume even if a new pump was installed. Rough at low speeds, runs good on reasonably level ground, be more specific. Prime when cold, what brand of carb? Is choke operational?
