Wheels and tires for my truck

I don't think they will fit too well without rubbing without a lift. Although the front end is entirely different an a 2wd and tires are more sucked in up front that on 4wd. I know that the corner of the body on a partial turn comes within a few inches of the body with a out a 2" lift on a 4wd

I was thinking the same thing! I thought 10mpg with 4.10's was pretty good.

    Rebuilding a 5.7 350

Those could be .020 under bearings but I thought you said it was a standard crank? Look on the first counter balance weight of the crank to the front of the engine. It will look like this if either main or rods is cut. This crank had been cut .010 on both the mains and the rods.

    exhaust exit

I want mine to look like that as well. The factory side exits rotted out on mine and I just have them hacked at the mufflers ahead of the axle. It's one of those to do things, and has been for years.

    spark plugs.... Over thinking!

They have them on the "Help" or "Motormight" isle. I think Motormight might have been the name we had at pepboys? It was re branded Help if so.

    Rubber Valve Stems With Covid

I used to sell tires at Pep boys. I was a parts counter guy. Didn't work in the shop but hung out in there some times. I do almost ball my work on my own junk. I have swapped failed valve stems that have failed due to the Chinese junk. I have swapped a few tires at the house. And I worked in my...

    Frame rot

I agree. Pull the hangers off go at it with a hammer and angle grinder and wire wheel and see what's left. If you need to weld patches in let them do that if you don't weld or have the stuff. But I agree, think it will need to be done eventually but maybe not today. Once you remove the spring...

    Rubber Valve Stems With Covid

I didn't read your whole post. But I have had valve stems that are not lasting as long. These are some I purchased a few years prior to corona. They sit in my toolbox not in the sun. Now my tool box sits in my carport it's out of direct sunlight but it's in the outside temps so that means in...

    Rebuilding a 5.7 350

A micrometer is same principal as calipers just more exact. I'm sure you can find hundreds of you tube videos useing them. I think you can buy them at Harbor Freight. Probably wouldn't use them as a professional or build race motors but for some checks your looking for they should do fine.

Yep eBay is pretty much your first go to for something original like that, that you want .

    12 Bolt Diff cover options

Any of the bigger online junkyards probably have them. Local older stuff junkyards probably have them but probably won't sell the cover off a good axle unless it's a place like pull a part.

    big thank you!!!!

They have 5ft sticks. Where do you live. Anywhere in SC I'll swing by your house with some. I travel most of the state for work. Seriously go to a home construction site and look in dumpsters or talk to a plumber and say you want 2"s of PEX. I bet they cut a hunk and give you.

Wow I have never noticed a difference in oil pressure like that, but I have had mostly lights or dummy gauges over the years.

    '87 V1500 2" Lift Advice

That's the same extra leaf in the front I think most of these got. Those kits must of been super common in the 80s and early 90s. My truck has the same one as well. Although mine sits pretty level. I wonder if your rear springs are sacked out?

    Installation information for Radiator #CU730

I got a buddy who works at Ford. More probably if I think about it. My father in law use to run his own shop, so back in those days I'd just grab what I needed off the shelf.
