Summit Carb Install Gone Very Wrong

That stupid long hose clamp on the upper rad hose would drive me crazy. I'd have to replace it or more likely cut it to size. And are you really a Rabbi?

Summit Carb Install Gone Very Wrong

I had a throttle stick on me on the square. I was going into a pretty good curve in the highway. I throw it in neutral and cut the engine off coasted off to the side and drove the few miles back home. Then took my other truck to town and also picked up a throttle cable .

What new tools have you got lately?

I'm going to buy the 5 drawer US General rolling tool cart from HF. I have one of the first generation US General just black tool boxes. And the drawer slides are worn out and a few don't close well. I think they have slides there I could replace it with. But that box is getting cramped. Cause I...

What new tools have you got lately?

I got a $150 Harbor Freight gift card for Christmas, and the week or so after I went and got these tools for about $130. A few things I wanted but never bought for years. Well I was looking for the picture I took but I can't find it. I got an impact screwdriver, huge set of Doyle channel locks...

    Solder Connectors

Yep I know what you mean on red and blue. Sometimes I have to even fold over the wires to get them thicker before I crimp. Even when useing the correct one for the gauge.

Summit Carb Install Gone Very Wrong

Summit Carb Install Gone Very Wrong

I live in the south too. We don't have bitter cold. But I can start my truck with the QJ into our coldest temps in the 20s. It will start up pretty quick and then die out of ter a few seconds. Hot the petal on e or twice and then it will crank up and run at high idle till I knock it off.

Should I make a daily from my "parts truck" 76 GMC....??

You could get $1500 for it all day long of you went through it. Heck I'd pay $600 for it as it sits. I'd even sell Yes the switching valve and run off one tank! Yikes. I see your in minnesota! Solder Connectors

I bought some off Amazon I think. I have used them a good bit so far. I really like them. And the connections I have made are as good or better than crimp but connectors. Really fine stuff I would probably use crimp shrink butt connectors or solder and shrink wrap them the old way

What have you done to your square lately??

Dang man!!! What a note! Any parent would love to get that, I too would cherish and keep that forever!! It would stay in that envelope in a zip lock bag somewhere in my shed forever. I say shed because I don't have a garage, just a carport and it would get wet and ruined. My shed is also like a...

Has anyone done the $50 Rustoleum Paint Job on their Square???

I am with you. If I was going to the trouble to prep the surface, like actually prep the surface, and so the work, I probably would buy an automotive paint. If I was just going to scuff and shoot and it was going to get beat up or abused and I knew something else would need to be done shortly if...

Has anyone done the $50 Rustoleum Paint Job on their Square???

The secret bis to buy Rust-Oleum in the gallon cans, think it and use a HVLP gun. It will look pretty good. If you do it well most people won't know you didn't use an automotive paint on it. Now in 5 years will it look as good? But the good thing is that you can wet sand it or buff it if you...
