Wow...Mississippi doesn't care what it looks like...as long as it meets the age requirement. They don’t even do an inspection...no need to even bring the vehicle. -

1986 C10- Is it reliable enough for a daily driver?
I had to replace the battery in my ‘18 Chevy the other day. It was a pain in the ass because I had to loosen the coolant reservoir just to be able to pull the battery out. Best tire on a budget
Mine are 15x6...and I probably won’t put on 100 miles in a month. Being in Mississippi it doesn’t snow and if it gets cold enough to have ice I won’t be driving it anyway. The only reason I put the current tires on it was so I could move it to the shop,aka the front yard, so I could work on the...- Mossyman

After I changed the thermostat yesterday the truck pushed to about 220. I thought either the fan clutch or water pump was going bad. Took the fan off a ‘77 and that didn’t help any. I’ll install the water pump tomorrow after it gets here and go from there. Old fan New fan -

Best tire on a budget
195/75/15...I won’t be changing the wheels. I’m trying to keep it as original as possible but I’m not a fan of the 195 tires...they just look weird to me.- Mossyman

Put some new hoses and a thermostat in today. The old one was horrid but according to my temp gauge it still worked -

Any original squares out there?
You know I thought the tires that were on it looked funny because they had been sitting up so long and had warped or something. I just looked at some online and those things look just like the old ones...hideous. I’ll find something a little better looking! -

Had to put new tires on it...found a rim off a ‘77 to replace the one that was rusted out. Had to put a new clutch in it since the rats built a nest that I couldn’t get out. Installed gauges so I could read the actual my temps instead of waiting for the light to come on. Dad painted the bumper ... -

Any tips on removing old brake hoses?
Had to use a pair of vice grips to get mine off. Couldn’t get the wrench in that tiny space enough to get any leverage to break it. -

I was looking for some fuses yesterday in an old tool box and found a couple adjustable wrenches I forgot I had...with the wife having to get a bunch of stuff to get ready for school that’s been the extent of my tool additions :( -

no fluid to right caliper
Just replaced the left front on mine yesterday. After putting the new one on I cut the old one to see where it had stopped up. It was somewhere around the bracket. Mine had sat for 10 years so I’m assuming all the corrosion got to it and caused it to fail.- Mossyman

I had to hit the brakes really hard the other day because of some jackwagon backing up on my side of the road...around a curve. When I hit the brakes the back end spun sideways. Luckily I was able to steer out of it and didn’t hit the moron. Checked the left front and found out the brake line... -
