What have you done to your square lately??

So far so good, it’s my daily driver, handles highway speeds and crappy Atlanta streets full of potholes

What have you done to your square lately??

3in Lowered Lower control arms from DJM (so I can still run rallys if I wanna switch the shoes out) and a axle flip in the back. Still needs another 1-2in drop in the front too

What have you done to your square lately??

Thanks! Now if I just had another set for the 79. Not a big fan of those riddlers that are on there but shouldn’t have too much trouble selling some offset 20/22’s with new tires here in Atlanta

What have you done to your square lately??

Static dropped my 87, redid the factory AC so it blows ice cold in the Georgia summer heat, put some 20in Detroit steel wheels with some baby moon hubcaps on there, new body trim molding....and picked up a project 79 Sierra stepside

    Hand engraved door handle

Thanks! The lamp guides was less than an hour per side, the door handle and window latch assembly was about 60hrs

    Hand engraved door handle

Thanks, I’m a jeweler by trade, so this seemed like the natural next step. As for preventive measures for rust, the lamp guides have a thin film of enamel in the cuts. As for the door handle / vent window assemblies, once I finish the passenger side I’m sending them off to be clear powder coated...

    Hand engraved door handle

Been having way too much fun engraving whatever parts I can. Finished driver side door handle, with matching engraved vent window latch assembly. Also touched up the step-up bumper’s license plate lamp guides, because why not?!

Decided to cut some valve covers

Yeah metals can be unforgiving. Being a jeweler I’ve learned this the hard way while soldering, engraving, and setting gemstones. She does nice work man, trying to replicate naturally occurring shapes while making them look realistic is quite the challenge

Thanks, still got a ways to go. Almost said “I got my work cut out for me” but that would have been way too corny lol

    Vent window latch upgrade

I’m not sure of the boards rules about posting prices/services but if it doesn’t break any rules or won’t get me booted I can gladly divulge all that

Decided to cut some valve covers

After hand-engraving some latches for the vent window with some success, the owner of the shop I take my truck to, threw me a pair of SBC valve covers and a timing chain cover - started up on the valve covers first, just doing a freehanded scroll design - here’s where I’m at so far.

    Vent window latch upgrade

The whole assembly that they sell, the post, window w/ the seal, latches etc etc. dropped in super easy. I replaced the channel runs and window felts at the same time. Took a little bit of extra time to re-align the channel runs, overall pretty easy swap. Part number was: 38-6270 VENT WINDOW...

    Vent window latch upgrade

Went ahead and cut another LH assembly - might get them clear powder coated instead and compare with the chrome.

    Vent window latch upgrade

If you’re thinking of a mountain scene similar to the hunting scenes that are engraved on shotguns, in the bulino style, from a master engraver, you better be seated when they quote you for a job like that. Might be cheaper to do a few frame-off restos instead !

    Vent window latch upgrade

Recently pulled my original vent window out and dropped a new lmc vent window assembly in. Since my original window frame had a broken weld at the pivot post, i decided to take everything apart...had an idea to strip the chrome plating off the latch, end cap, and push button, hand engrave them...

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

The Craigslist listing is expired but the owner has finally emailed me back about looking at her ’73 stepside today. What piqued my interest is the fender mounted spare carrier - y’all seen anything like this on a 73 before?
