87 350 tbi runs fine until i stop

Throttle body’s are fun! If it’s not running good when warmed up / in closed loop, but runs just fine when you first start it (open loop), and you say it cuts out after idling a long time/ stumbles n dies after being under load….I’d be willing to wager that your 34 year old, one wire O2 sensor...

Did they ever make keys specifically with the GMC or Chevy bowtie logo on it? Or did all squares use the generic GM logo keys?

Noticed that when a ‘70 deville was in the shop. Also noticed the 64 bel air I’ve been working on has the standard rounded/squared GM keys, but there’s lightning bolts on both sides lol. Don’t think those are original but they’re still kinda cool

What have you done to your square lately??

Lol yeah yeah yeah, I know I know…but hell, minus the paint, it’s almost back to factory original inside n out and everything works as intended, so I’d say it’s just about done and nearly ready for its new owner to take it

How To Take It Out... ALL of it?

If you’re not any good at wiring, just pull the thing and get a direct replacement from American auto wire. If you’re good with schematics and a soldering iron, just surgically remove it, untangle, re attach. Personally, I’d detach the shared bolt going thru the bulkhead connector, then...

What have you done to your square lately??

Not a square, but still a Chevrolet. Earlier this week i Swapped out the single reservoir master cylinder for a dual reservoir, freshened up all 4 drums- new hardware, new shoes, new drums, new cylinders, front flexhose, made some new stainless lines to account for the additional reservoir on...

What have you done to your square lately??

Just knocked out a huge punch list for the 79 today …did a transmission felt gasket and filter service, new front shocks, new leaf springs, put a new printed circuit in, and while the cluster was out I gave the backing plate a light dusting of paint, all new 168 bulbs went in, and now after...

1976 coolant temp sensor part number needed

@Itali83 - I’d just go with acdelco, the shop I’m at has their largest account with AutoZone, and I’m not the biggest fan of Duralast parts, but you can always cross reference the Delco part from the duralast part… i used a TU-66 sensor (for late model trucks with gauges) 3/8” 18npt (with a 1/2”...

1976 coolant temp sensor part number needed

That Delco G1852 is almost certainly the right one for your 76. The 1/2” -14npt nailhead style was used till like 79? 80? I wanna say I’ve read there were 3 diff coolant temp sensors for gauges, with matching gauges, that used different resistors to correspond with its sensor counterpart. I...

Best flowing muffler that'll quiet down my motor?

Shoooooo, worked on a 78 with a 502, long tubes into glasspacks and it sounded perfect if you were a 21yr old parked at the dollar general, 4 natural lights deep on a Friday evening. I’d suggest Borla’s

    Power window harness / relay

Got an uncut 2 door power window/lock harness I pulled from under the dash, still has the relay as well. Got no use for it, and would love to trade for a 4 speaker wire harness, but could sell it just the same.

A buddy took a pic of me doing the same exact thing. Impact with a 3ft extension, 9/16th swivel. Makes life so much easier

What have you done to your square lately??

A couple saturdays ago, I started my morning by dropping a freshened up engine into the gmc, new flywheel, new starter, made a new engine harness and got all my gauges working except the voltmeter. Had it driving by 4pm. New neutral safety switch got put on after cleaning up the NSS wiring and...

Chevy hub caps, and center caps.

Those might be the nicest covers I have, and I know I have a stack of em around here that have the caps, some have no caps, some are missing the fake lugs, some have all the lugs…point being, if I get another GMC cap or 2 I can Frankenstein a full GMC set (and probably a full yellow bow tie set)...

Chevy hub caps, and center caps.

Sweet, my project truck’s SPID sheet had these on it and it I’ve slowly acquired about a dozen of the wheelcovers, some are super clean, some are garage, some had the gold bow tie caps, some had the blue bow tie caps, but I’ve only managed to get like 2-3 of the GMC’s so far. This would put me a...

an old cracked damaged grille, and pitted HL bezels 73-80 round.

Well I did wonder, and according to Google, Randall Steffens got em self a dui. I’ve written that POS off a while ago, but did find it comical that his dumbass is now looking for parts. almost tempted to send @78C10BigTen some $$ for those parts he was looking for, pull a whistling diesel on...
