Nice Delco 2700 For Sale-SOLD!
I just pulled a nice Delco 2700-AM/FM Cassette out of my truck. It works great and is in pretty nice condition. The cassette deck works well, although not perfect. Hey, just bought an 87 r10, hopefully I will find some answers here and maybe even help out.
You could put some coil spring spacers in the front, that's about you could do other than bigger tires than stock. It'll still ride higher in the rear unless you get the front suspension about 2" higher. V trucks are easier, as I just added a 2" leaf on my V20 and it made it about perfectly...- mtbadbob

You’re Doing it Wrong !! Two tone Paint
I agree, totally. Being an Old's W car owner, it drives me INSANE to see the W stripes wrong on about 80% of restored W cars, especially since the Assembly Manual has all the factory specs on paint & stripe details. -

Interior Trim Colors

Tailgate band for 1987 Silverado V10
Josh is correct, the taper of an actual '87 tailgate is kind of wedge shaped where the trim panel goes, where the earlier years were more of a rolled, round recess. Pictured is my '81 & up tailgate -

I found out that cure time is crucial in the reaction. I had to repaint the border black on the trim piece because I waited 2 days to clear coat it after the black. The manufacturer says to clear coat within an hour, or wait 7 days or until paint is cured. I actually didn't have any problems in... -

So, you should be able to go 7/8" above the screw mounting holes, and up to 1/2" below them, and up to 3-1/2" wide between the screw holes. The OEM gasket & cargo light base should cover them just fine, although the factory hole looks a bit smaller. I'm sure you already deduced that fishing from...- mtbadbob

What have you done to your square lately??
Freshened up the front of my truck today. Finally installed my aftermarket grille & headlight bezels. I also polished & touched-up my original bowtie emblem & replaced the black vinyl tape with a carbon fiber pattern. No more cracked & rattling parts for now!
