Are cheap welding helmets any good? (recommendations?)

Good ole tatters!! Just to say, from experience, instead of slicing the potato, take a cheese grader to it and then you can squeeze the juice into your eyes, then get that tatter mush mashed down in your eye sockets. Info I hope no one ever needs! Far as welding hoods go, big screen, little...

Are cheap welding helmets any good? (recommendations?)

I would suggest to learn the skill of flipping your hood, and use a static lense(? spelling sucks) It is not hard to do and you don't have to wonder if the shade will work or if the battery is dead. That being said static lenses come in different colors of shade, orange, green and blue have...

Does anyone know what this is

How would they use both? Or are you saying it could be found in either/or one of the 2 locations in a model? This is an honest question, please take it that way.

Does anyone know what this is

That is the oil pressure sending unit. For some reason GM found some reason to get them harder to get to with the TBI??? Edit to change, sensor to sending unit. Hate sensors!!

What new tools have you got lately?

Yes sir. The 63 is a red face, copper wound. The 78 is a big black face, and will prob donate parts to the 63. If I told you what I give for them you would be pissed instead of jealous. Grin.

What new tools have you got lately?

No sir. Repairing a hydraulic cylinder. Held together with a 4 in internal snap ring, that is capitive to the end cap.... Can't see how one person can disassemble it without the locking pliers.....have a couple blood blisters as proof now??

quick question for small engine guys

Didn't think so. I'd say check clearance on the rocker arms, be sure the valves aren't sticky. Check spark with new plugs and wire, modules. Might even try another set of plugs, they can be weird and not fire under pressure?? Is there any chance you got some bad gas?

quick question for small engine guys

    This thing has points?

quick question for small engine guys

Generally when lean they want to pop back through the carb, through the exhaust cold be rich. Which could be caused by lack of or weak fire. Your gaping spark plugs? Also are you replacing plugs and wires? If not, do there is a reason the modules went bad.

    Wood heater/stove. What y'all think?

Thanks Mike! Figured I might have got a tongue lashing from you about my choice of welding rod, lol. It is going to be nice, though may slow down productivity, something about a heater just makes a man want to stand by it??? Thanks again! As you know this thing, like a bbq pit turns into alot...

    Wood heater/stove. What y'all think?

Yes Ma'am. Though heat rises, kind of why it's built at the height it is..... Grin.... May go ahead and do it before I hook it up, but have thought about an ash tray/ heat shield slid between the stove and floor...why the front and back legs aren't tied together...go ahead and let it move...

    Wood heater/stove. What y'all think?

Thanks! Yes sir, believe I will enjoy this one. Now, I have to learn to make corn bread in a dutch oven...lol. Will also keep a small propane heater lit for the real cold nights, and for a space heater if I need it. Thanks again!

    Wood heater/stove. What y'all think?

Grin, Thanks. It will be setting where the tall propane bottle in the picture is. Be 12 feet to the closest wall, and will install fans to keep the air moving around.
