Hydro boost leaks back into the cab

Be sure to bench bleed the master, then, after getting the master bolted up, start the lines into their ports, then, have someone push the pedal down and hold it while You tighten the fittings. That will save You a bunch of brake bleeding.

Bad idea to buy a complete LS pullout from a rollover truck??

If it didnt take a hard hit on the harmonic balancer, or, if it was rolled over and the engine immediately shut down, it should be okay, IMO. Check the transmission case though, it could be cracked.

    Ignition HELP! [solved]

When viewing the distributor from the back, no. 1 should be at the eleven oclock position, or pointing towards the no. one sparking plug, or close to it. Unless someone has installed the distributor in anything but original equipment specs.

    truck cranks, no spark

Hold the coil wire away from the top of the distributor cap just a little ways, have someone crank over the engine and see if there is any spark there. Much better than trying through a plug wire that only sparks on every other rotation of the cranking shaft.

    Ignition HELP! [solved]

The post You are pointing Your finger at should be for cylinder no. 5 No 1 would be straight forward of that towards the carb. Three more posts in clockwise rotation

Need help with engine bay wiring

I once pulled the entire harness from an AC loader, stretched it out on a peice of plywood and used finish nails to stake down the terminals. Laid out a new harness over the top of the old harness. where needed I clipped off the terminals with a pig tail and soldered and heat shrinked those onto...

    Sand blast cabinet

YUP, I think that is the same stuff We used at the DOT for blasting snow plows before a fresh paint job. Made of slag from some sort of a process of welding or some such.

    starter question

Look for burnt wires in the area of the booster, might not be burned black but there could be signs of melted insulation. What exactly is the starter doing ? engages and cranks over real slow ? If so, time for a new/reman. starter. I have been using NAPA lifetime starters, so far, I have had to...

    Tail lights stay on

If it is wired for 12 volts at the trailer light plug, it could be a short across the 12 volt and the tail light wires. Other wise check as Honky Kong said.

Oh well HR, I think You will have an NP205 coming Your direction. If that`d be any consolation.

    Can I rebuild it?

It is well worth the 40 bucks, even as a core. Depending on where the piston size now is, might make a good engine by buying a complete engine kit, crank and all. Build it to Your specs.

Tool Tip: TBI distributor hold-down bolt

I have a KD 104 3 piece wrench that has always woorked well. 9/16ths on one end and a half inch on the other end. Works well for the enjuns in the square bodies and also the TBI enjuns too. The bolt does not need to be removed completely to remove the distributor, just loosened quite a ways then...

No spark, No fuel 1990 5.7 TBI

Check the pickup coil, using multimeter, set on DC volt scale{I think it is DC} and hook leads to PC leads, crank over the engine, see if there is any reading from it.
