    Obscure casting numbers

Thank You guys for the reply. I`ll get over to the shed and do some measuring of the bore and check to see if the center cylinders are siamesed. It had been so many years ago since the block had been bored, and the old timer has passed on, that I dont know. I do know that I had taken a 400 block...

    Obscure casting numbers

The casting numbers on this block were mighty sloppily cast from the factory. This is a four bolt main, can anyone tell Me, is this a 350 or is this a 400. I was told by the old timer that bored the block that it is a 400. I have no inside mics. so I cant measure the cylinders. It did clean at...

    ID on these two items?

T-10 was a car transmission and very desirable. They will work in a pickumup application, especially a drag race application. LOL

    gm big block v6?

Years ago I had a 1967 GMC with the 305 V6. I run straight pipes on that truck. It had the cooles sound, almost like an airplane cruising. The 305 was not huge on power but they would run forever. There also were diesel in this engine design. Not sure what internals was different but pistons for...

Question concerning Hydroboost Power Steering Pump

PS pump on My truck has that stinking VOV system. I need to get the components and eliminate that thing. Put a load on the front receiver hitch and the steer wheel will not turn. Just a bad kind of a deal.

Question concerning Hydroboost Power Steering Pump

Just be sure that the pump You use does not have the VOV system. You will know it by the two wires sticking out the back side. If it does have the VOV system, it can be eliminated with components from and older pump or, buy the conversion kit from GM or other sources.

    1965 Mg Midget

The one I`d really like to have would be an MB-A a MG-C with the six cylinder would be a fun one too, if it was upgraded with FI and electronic ignition..

Is.... this a cylinder... sleeve? Do guys run them?

Top of the piston should have numbers and or letters stamped on it, use those numbers, do a search on the innernet and it should yield some infuhrmayshun. :Caffeine: I once did rebuild a Farmall M, replaced the sleeves and pistons but I do not remember what they looked like.

That car brings back some mighty fine memories. The second car I owned when in HS was a 54 Belair four door. I didn't appreciate that car back then but I sure would like to have it back now.:Caffeine: I`ll surely be watching this build thread.

    Small block... buick? Oldsmobile? PONTIAC?

The wifey took a liking to a non running 88 Buick Century. New fuel pump and it has been a very dependable car. She drives it every day. It has a 2.8 V6, I must say that must be the crappiest designed engine any manufacturer has ever come up with. Constantly messing with oil leaks, not enough...

    Save The Junk?

If You use a fabric or a vinyl on the dash, check the UV resistance of it before buying. I bought fabric for curtains for My camper, made the curtains and they lasted about two to three years, now they are all faded and beginning to fall afart, I mean apart. :Caffeine:
