Yup. Had the left side manifold removed to install spark plug wire heat shields, for the two front cylinders. Cleaned everything real good and the heat riser functions smooth and easily. Choke Problems on SBC
Not a Square Body. Sorry. This is on My step sons 1970 Chevrolet C20 with a TH400 and a 350 SBC. I rebuilt the carb and it is functioning very nicely. The portion that fails to function is the automatic choke. The choke mechanism is one just like this one in the picture. The problem I believe...- MrMarty51

Fabbing an alt support bracket
Is there a serpentine belt setup that would move the alternator to the right side of the engine ? I realize that the wire harness would need to be lengthened but then it is possible that the factory strut rods to the intake manifold and etc would still mount like a factory application.- MrMarty51

Body nuts, bolts and screws along with every clip that might come off with them. Spacers, insulators, nuts and warshers. Throw none of that away. Fusable links to the starter mainly. Might be one off the alternator battery terminal. You apparently have checked off the battery terminal of the alternator with the engine shut down, then again with the engine running to verify that the alternator is charging, using a multimeter ? Sadly, no TS stores here, 150 miles to the west is a TS store. I’ll check them for coal slag, or any type of media compound next time I get over to there. Several other stores over there too that might have such as that.- MrMarty51

On Your phone or computer. If the location setting is not turned on then the map cant find Your location and wont drop the pin in Your location. I see the pin I installed years ago is still in the south eastern portion of Montana. :lol: -

I too have one of those HF 40 pound pressure feed sanding blasters. I have been doing some restorations on those small park bench devices that You see in peoples yards thats usually leaning and looking like they will fall over. I have been making struts and brackets to keep them from leaning...- MrMarty51

Carter AFB Competition series Carb for sale.
It is a governor that is a part of the carb. I’m not real familiar on how they actually function as there is no engine speed device attached to it. I think I have one of those over in the shed too. Maybe I should go see what it is. It was in with a box full of carbs a guy gave to me when He was doing a major cleanout in his shop. I dont know if it is a double pumper though. I also have a Carter, IIRC, that has the hoof governor option...
