    Greetings from Finland

Welcome from Eastern Montana. the whine in the diff could be a side bearing on the ring gear carrier. it is common for the vent hose to break off, when the differential cools down it sucks in cool moist air and rusts the crap out of the bearing on one side. other wise it also could be the ring...

No start, no click, no nothing

There will be two fusible links. I dont remember now what their locations are. probably one down by the starter and another off the alternator, be sure that they are not burned out. With this year/model of truck, there may be more than two, like with the 88 year trucks, if so, check all of those...

    Getting the shaft...

I know this is a bit late. A K7500 truck the highway dept. owns, I had replaced the carrier bearings on it, there are three carrier bearings on one shaft and two on the front shaft. The shafts ate those out real quick. I went a block over to the machine shop and explained the problem to them...

    Old Detroit w/blower

Two stroke Detroit, screaming Jimmy. That`ll definitely pull the K5 with the Camaro body. These engines are air cooled from the wind blowing through the block, only coolant is in the cylinder heads. Running the rack to tune them up is easy. You might want to pack along some hearing protection...

    Stuck spindle

OH, I thought it was a axle/spindle bearing that was galled onto the spindle, please disregard this ppost. At least now if someone does get a wheel bearing galled onto the spindle, they`ll know how to gettum offt. :happy175::happy175::happy175:

    Stuck spindle

If the bearing is seized and galled onto the spindle and a torch is not available. Use one big hammer under the bearing, a ten or twelve pound works nicely, and use another biggish hammer, like a three or four pounder and pound the piss out of the bearing, after the rollers and cage fall off...

    89'S '07 Hoe

On My 93 K1500, OP had dropped to about 15 pounds at around 200,000 miles. The coolant pump started leaking, pulled it, thought, well, long as I`m down this far, time for a new timing chain/sprocket set. Got the cover off, the chain had stretched so far that it would almost touch back on itself...

There it is, a cradle built around it for lifting into the service truck, when I was working. I built the drawer under the top box, call it the scrap iron container. All the big and heavy stuff is in there.

    All my lights went out

It will not work, unless someone has come out with a slow burn fuse. I tried this once upon a time, without success, the fuse just burns out too fast.

The windows on My 2000 crew cab was tinted before i bought it. I`m thinking about scraping that stuff off, it is scratced bad. My vision aint what it used to be too, very difficult to see out through them in the dark. I like the looks of the tinted windows, I guess I could always go back on with...

looking for shocks that work good and wont break the bank.

Over here, we are stuck with three parts stores. NAPA, Orielly and Carquest. At one time, I bought a lot of parts from CQ, until the corp dropped the CQ store over here. It is privately owned and family run, their prices went double on anything, compared to NAPA which is higher than Oriellys. I...
