I need help with fuel tanks on my 87 dual tank
Remove the hose from the inoperable tank, at the diverter valve, shove on a different piece of hose, remove the hose to the TBI at the valve, switch to inoptank then blow into the hose, that`ll tell You if the valve is going to full on mode for that tank. Help with trying to Identify a 400 ci sbc
I have a 400 four bolt main SBC, cleaned up at .030 over, ready to fit pistons to. No crank, rods or pistons though. main bearing caps is all attached in order though. It was from a 69 C20.- MrMarty51

Oh NOOOOooooo, You mean five inch by no. 12 was not fitting and proper ? Now I suppose I need to remove the glove box, weld all the dozen holes shut, then doi another search in the forum to find the thread containing the proper procedure for installing a pie anner hinge to the glove box... -

Attached the jokey box to the dash. Not the prettiest fix I ever did but it works. Got it off slightly so it takes a gentle pry to get it to open. Good enough for a old beat to hell fencing rig. :happy160::happy175: Got it off the garage floor anyway. :happy175::happy175::happy175: -

I have a 2000 K3500 with the 6.5 and I like that truck a LOT. I use the Stanadyne performance formula fuel additive. 454 knock - looking for suggestions
Pull one spark plug wire at a time, with the engine running. If the knock goes away on one or two cylinders, those are the cylinders with the rods knocking. If the knock gets louder, then, it is a piston or wrist pin problem.- MrMarty51
