    Whenever I can get to a auto salvage, I spend some extra time and grab as many body screws, clips and as much of that real small stuff that cant be got from the hardware store. Nice catch on the ashtray, lighter and PB pad.

    Green is the choke pull off, after engine starts, it pulls open the choke to keep the carb from loading up the cylinders. Light blue and red is thermal vacuum switches that controls vacuum to various items during various temps. Dark blue, I`m not real sure, unless it would be to filter any oil...

    If the GMT400 is a one ton 3500 series and a crew cab, You can go up to the years 2000. I do not know if the extended and standard cab would fall into that category though.

    Hydroboost help

    What year is this hydroboost on ? My 2000 K3500 has an electronical controlled pressure valve. steering gets hard sometimes. I was told to remove that electronic controlled valve and replace it with a regular valve from an older unit.

    They are nice, the idle is very smooth on these engines, small pistons though. An old time Ford garage mechanic over here has one. He retired from Ford and went into his own shop, He bored a lot of engines and fitted a lot of pistons for Me.

    I once used a length of that plumbers pipe support stuff, about 3/4 inch wide, bendable and full of holes, it can be obtained in steel or copper. Holds the radio just fine.
