    Can we be honest people?

Those Z24 Cavalier cars came with a fiberglass hood with air induction. My friend bought one new and it was a very fun car. I loved the factory hoods on the Z24 cars. Wouldn’t mind finding one just to have around. Luminas had a massive amount of room on the interior. Like 5 miles between the...

    Can we be honest people?

Try replacing an Opti Spark distributor. Stinking nightmare when you have a bad back. It now runs better than it did when it rolled off of the assembly line. Still worth it in my opinion. I love the C4 Corvette platform. My 4th Gen Camaro is way faster then my Corvettes. Love the all Aluminum LS...

    Can we be honest people?

Or the Chevette. Or the Citation. Then they made those Luminas and other Front Wheel Drive cars. Must have been a brain fart day or ? I was really against the new C8 Corvette but I have seen a few lately that were pretty cool. Still think the C7 is the best modern Vette. Just my opinion which...

You need to come over and see my 76. I have been buying a lot of AMD sheet metal to make the repairs. After I get the lift kit and engine back in my 79 ( wife thinks it’s hers..haha) I will be starting on my 76. It even has the factory 400 small block in it. I have wanted that exact truck since...

I own an 80 Z28 also. It’s an automatic car. I also own a 1991 Z28 a 1998 Z28 an a 1978 RS/LT. I sold both of my 1973 Z28’s and wish I hadn’t. The big Camaro Rally is going on this weekend here in Sturgis South Dakota. Started on the 23rd. We usually take out one of our cars and go cruise it for...

Me too. I have about the same for engines but a few transmissions and a ton of extra driveshafts. I own about 25 or 26 cars as we speak. A few Corvettes,Camaros and 1 Nova SS and a crap ton of trucks. Oh, and two Jeeps. Don’t judge I bought them for my son because that’s what he wanted and I...

Scores from DIY Parts Yards, Pull A Part, U Pull It etc

I just saved a 1982 K5 Blazer from the crusher. Was a 6.2 Diesel but then someone put a 454 in there. The guy wanted only the motor and was going to crush it. The topper windows have been smashed out and the body is mostly gone. The guy used it as a trail rig. It has the transmission and...

    Extended brake lines….

So, my wife bought me another shortbox and I just ordered a 6” all spring lift kit and new 35” tires for it. I think I will need new longer brake lines. Do you guys recommend a certain company to go with? I prefer the braided lines. I can’t seem to find someone who sells the whole set. My Search...

Need help with a lift kit….

Ok fellas. My AWESOME wife unit found another Square yesterday in Wyoming. It’s a 1979 Shortbox 4X4 with the 4 speed/205 case. I have a lift kit for my 1976 Step side. It’s a 4” lift all spring. That truck will not be road worthy for a while somInwas wondering if my 76 4” lift kit will work for...

    350 turbo question..,

As some of you know I recently bought a 1977 K10 Step side. I am trying to get back on the road after it was sitting for 15 years. I had to replace the steering column and as I was doing this I noticed that the transmission doesn’t really have a Park mode, meaning that when I put it I park there...

I think that’s great idea. When my wife and I met in 1986, we were both teenagers. She was driving a 1976 Camaro Type LT and I was driving a 1973 Nova SS. Both cars were near mint condition and her car was all hopped up. She only bought it because her girlfriend bought a brand new car and sold...

    Oil pressure question on my 77 K10 350 Chevy…..

Going to give it another try tomorrow. I have a few extra valve covers and was thinking of cutting a slot down the length of them about an inch long to observe the valve train.

    Oil pressure question on my 77 K10 350 Chevy…..

And you did this without using the starter to turn it over? Just a pre lube tool in the distributor hole? @Bextreme04

    Oil pressure question on my 77 K10 350 Chevy…..

It’s a completely stock engine except manifold. It’s the numbers matching 350. The lifter valley is free of debris and carbon build up. It look almost new except there is carbon on the pushrods that go up to the rocker arms. I ran that pre oiler for about 1 min, maybe 45 secs. I got good...

    Oil pressure question on my 77 K10 350 Chevy…..

I have to ask a stupid question. I have my valve covers off on the 350. They leaked bad ( just got the truck a few days ago) Years ago I took a points distributor and ground the gear off and modified the top to use as a pre oiler. Today I used it and could get an easy 40 lbs of pressure and even...

I worked with a guy who had two. One for his wife and one for him. He would pick up guys to car pool to work in his 4 cyl. Blazer. It went from 0 to 60 in 30 days with all four of us in it. We all laughed at how slow it was but it worked great in winter.

I own a few Second, Third and Fourth Gen Z28’s along with a few Corvettes and I will NEVER cut up my car to replace parts. I just find a way to work smarter and faster. Besides, working on cars is fun. That’s why I own so many.

Are you the one who put the LS1 in the car? If so, how did it go? I own a 1991 Z28 that is a factory 5.7 but an automatic due to all 5.7 Z28’s only came in auto. My son and I want to make it a 6 speed ZF with an LS engine. Probably the 6.2 L. Looks like it fits nice in there. Cool car. @yevgenievich

How slow is your daily driver?

It’s a Corvette or Camaro Z28. Neither are slow. My Z28 has an all aluminum Corvette LS engine in it. It can break the tires loose at 60 mph when you stomp the pedal. It’s actually hard to keep it on the road. The ass is light and it’s got more horsepower than I actually use. My wife’s Yukon...
