    Small Block Lifter Premature Wear

I’ve never seen a lifter wear down like that. Have seen several that the center wore down, but the sides would flair and you’d have to knock it out the bottom. I’d definitely call Lunati. May or may not help. In the early 90s, we (close to a dozen of us) were wiping lobes left and right on...

    tbi wiring harness

Here is a complete tbi harness from a square body Blazer with a 5.7/700r4. It is basically stand alone. Bolts to fusebox bulkhead connector as other engine harness does, and round grommet just down from ecm is where wiring goes back in firewall placing ECM above glove box. The rest is just...

    305 to 454 Engine Swap?

No, there is no chip like the older tbi ecms. And yes, the 0411 is a better, more tunable ecm than the old black box ones.

    305 to 454 Engine Swap?

The cams in the Vortec 7.4s are a “lazy” design, but to swap it, you really need to go to adjustable rockers. They are good engines, good flowing heads, and the intake system makes good torque. Plus it has individual injectors, unlike the Vortec small blocks/4.3, if you want to keep the fuel...

    O'Reilly sux balls !!!

We’ve got a Carquest and a Napa. I use the Napa a lot more since Carquest was taken over by Advance Auto Parts. I know the owners of both very well. Now the CQ has to push Fram filters, so they lost a lot of business. The Napa store doesn’t have as much inventory, but will do his best to get...

The 1 ton srw axles have different spring perch width (40.5” vs 42”)and the shocks are reversed and located differently as 1 tons have the shocks inside the frame The 3/4 ton axle shares the 42” perch spacing and shock locations with the 1/2ton

    power window relay

Its pretty simple. 2 relays per door. You will cut and add the relays in the wiring from the switch to the motor. Hardest part is pulling the hot wire. Wire it as per this diagram.

    power window relay mod

You don’t have a ground to your window motor. Power goes thru the relay on one side and the other wire is grounded thru the relay on the other side to complete the circuit. Try wiring them like I show above and they will work. I’ve been doing them that way for at least 20 years

    power window relay mod

What is 87a hooked to? It should be ground (2 grounds per relay 86 & 87a) if you used the drawing I posted about 3 replies above
