Do I need new door hinges, springs, or pins/bushings?

I’ve seen videos of that and think it looks like a pain but doable. Will I really need to remove the fender to do this?

Fuel tank sending unit broken hose

Do I need both of those?! I’d probably do the HF one since it looks more versatile. How many people do I need to lift the bed off if I don’t decide to buy one? Also, any idea which hose is cut in my picture…is it a supply or a return?

Do I need new door hinges, springs, or pins/bushings?

1980 gmc c25 Hi, My driver-side door sags pretty bad, still closes but it’s a real pain. A lot of time the little wheel washer things catch on the spring also. When I’m inside the car I can see a very large gap at the top of the door. I’m afraid it’s just going to get worse and I won’t be able...

Fuel tank sending unit broken hose

I noticed between the cab and truck bed that the hose is split on the driver-side fuel tank sending unit. I don’t know the best way to fix this and how big of an issue is this? Do I need to remove the bed to fix this? I don’t really see how I could access the hose any other way. I’m unsure which...

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

Sadly it’s a much different used car market than it was even 4 years ago, add inflation and gas prices to that…I think $2500 is completely reasonable. No need for 4wd here, I’m from colorado where it actually made sense b/c of the snow. What a lot of people seem to be into w trucks/cars just...

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

Was just looking at that now, I’m just worried about getting the old ones off. I want to just replace the entire exhaust system. Are there any kits that have manifold, header and exhaust that I won’t have to weld?

Oh awesome, you’ve got the mystic too! Once I get the mechanical stuff addressed I’ll be doing the interior, which I’m so excited to refresh! Thanks for the pic

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

I did end up buying it for $2500. I was able to find 16s with some nice lightly used tires with a spare for only $200 so that was great. I’ve identified some problems since buying it, largest being the exhaust manifold on each side is cracked (pic). I’ve heard you can crack the bolts doing that...

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

For me I want the interior to feel clean, regardless if I will be using it to haul stuff, I still like my cars to be really clean. The door panels are starting to disintegrate and the steering wheel is sticky. So replacing the things that are legit failing will be the goal, not to make it all...

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

I imagine over lots of time I will spend some money on this truck but buying one already done somewhat defeats the purpose for me. Doing it myself allows me to learn a new type of vehicle to work on and I just enjoy the process. I understand what you’re saying, but I have pretty specific taste...

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

I took a look at the driver side cab after you mentioned it, and honestly it’s hard to tell. Like you said, the combo between the door and the dent make it difficult to really tell. That kind of stuff is what I intend to replace. Most of the hoses and anything rubber really is gonna get changed...

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

Thanks for the info, that’s a funny name…I like it lol! I’m in Washington state, not sure what people prefer out here but I’ve always preferred a long bed. I’m not a fan of the short bed or when they lower them. I guess I like a truck for it’s ability to truck, haul things and have decent...

Can you explain to me what body work you are seeing and also how you can tell about the cab mounts? I agree about the door hinges 100%, both doors struggle.

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

Engine and transmission seem to be fine as it runs and shifts well. Swapping out the rims had occurred to me and is probably what I’ll end up doing assuming I can find them at a local junkyard. I appreciate you giving me an actual tire size. It’s been hard to price out tires not really knowing...

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

I might be able to get it for $2500, it was mentioned. The goal for me would be to clean this truck up to use it for home projects and my nursery business, that’s why I prefer the longer bed. I also won’t be getting it lifted or dropping it, I’m a big fan of the way these looked from the...

Thank you for the welcome and your opinion. So nothing too scary, mostly normal annoying things to fix on an older truck…sounds like I’ll be able to with the assistance of this forum :) Price is $3500. Have no idea if that is high or low.

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

Hey everyone! New here and wanted to share the truck I’m considering buying, and also get opinions on whether I should buy it or not. I don’t need this truck but I want it. I would enjoy a project but would like to know if others share my love for this style. My neighbors offered to sell her to...
