Increased Cooling with Electric Fan and Electric Water Pump

The EMP/Stewart stage 2 mechanical waterpumps are among the very best waterpumps you can buy. Pair it with a high flow thermostat and you have a combination for a very effective cooling setup.

Header fitment and exhaust routing with NP203

Here's what I did. Hedman headers and 3" true dual w/x-pipe. Mishimoto v-bands on the headers to 10" stainless flex pipe. Obviously this pic was from construction and during mock up. Sounds freaking awesome.

Well, I did scour the internet for several days before turning to the forums. I would encourage you to follow your link and find that find that they dont make lights that fit the 88-91 Burb........... nice try, come again...

    Pissing match

LMC and Hella do sell the projector housings that will fit the 89-91 quad headlights. They wont work for my specific needs as the bulbs aren't waterproof. On my old 91 Burb someone had taken ebay LED's and simply bolted them to the core support. while this worked well enough, there was no way to...

Unfortunately these aren't gonna work for the 89-91 Burb without a total rethink of the headlight buckets. That's the entire reason for this post. 4x6 doesn't work because the stock buckets hold a 3 5/8"x5 3/4". I have yet to find a sealed LED direct replacement for our oddball lights...

    Pissing match

After further searching, there doesn't appear to be a direct LED replacement for this size headlight. I decided to just replace the halogens and do the relay rewire. I just ordered a pair of the Diode Dynamics SS6 6" fog light. I can run them with my low beams and supplement the poor...

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the dual headlight of my 89 seems to be an oddball, and I'm not having any luck finding a LED replacement. The only option their listing is the 5x7. The actual measurements of the 89 is closer to 3.5×6. I also need them to be sealed waterproof as this is...

    Pissing match

I was looking to upgrade my headlights to LEDs and ordered a set off of Amazon. Once they arrived it became immediately clear that they won't even come close to fitting in the factory buckets. What are my options for an LED upgrade? I have seen the LMC and Hella h4 options, but these aren't...

Dana 60 rear, Dana 70 front. Questions

I am building my 89 1500 Suburban as our ultimate overland adventure rig. Obviously the 1500 axles have to go. I found a guy selling a dually Dana 60 from an 80's chevy and a front Dana 70 for extremely reasonable asking price. They will need complete overhaul before the transplant, but the...

The original blue had major surface rust and was very unappealing. Now if I trail rash it I can just spray it again. This paint holds up amazingly well though. Very impressed.

    Problem getting a 1979 GMC 350 running

Did you change the distributor before or after the problem began? It sounds like you are off a tooth or more. Have you put a timing light on it?
