    Not rebuilt. It is out of the 78 suburban I bought the hood and doors from. It's still solid, no wobble in the tilt. comes with a steering wheel too.

    Looks like $150 for the tilt column with cruise for the win. I may try to screw with that shift bowl when I get the old column out but undecided at this point.

    Did you check to see if you're getting good spray from the injectors? I think with those you should be able to look down the throttle body and just confirm everything is good there.

    I’ve seen a lot of complaints about those mounts. It has something to do with the metal tabs not being in the correct position and not allowing the mount to sit in the clamshell properly if I remember correctly.

    Has anyone ever replaced the shift bowl on a tilt column? Mine is broken, it seems like someone just pulled a John Rambo and yanked the thing down into gear. I assume the steering shaft will need to be pulled out below the tilt mechanism and I'm wondering if that can be accomplished while it's...

    Hard to say. It has 2 different length bolts and the there was so much shot on them you could only see the thread that were in the intake.

    Changed my thermostat to a 180°. It was pretty cruddy and for some reason the thermostat was bent.

    I bought that from a guy up in the U.P. and it was a haul to go get it. They’re out there but if you live 2 hours from civilization like I do you’ll probably end up traveling to get stuff.

    Maybe look into a Nissan 350Z or 370Z manual transmission and call www.advanceadapters.com for the parts you need. I heard the owner on a podcast talking about them because the T56 is so expensive. They can tell you the HP and Torque limits of that transmission and at least give you an idea...

    Here are some pictures of the correct style for a 76. What I’m unsure about is if that year had a wide band or narrow band like the ones I have. I’m not sure of in 76 is if GMC was centered or offset but the recess was the same style.

    From what I gather about these is they don't drop as far down as truck headers so they stay up about the bottom of the frame. That's the reason I bought them because I'm going lower and my current headers are a little lower than I would like.

    https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hed-68198 I bought these for my C35 but I understand they work well on 4x4 because the flange doesn't interfere with something on the suspension. Maybe someone else has more insight on the 4x4 than me. These are for GM A-Body cars.
