New guy with a '78 'burb

Welcome aboard, awesome burb. (You probably know this) but unlike the door motors where the polarity is reversed to either raise or lower the window, the rear window motor works differently whereas it uses chassis ground through the motor housing itself and direction is controlled by witch of...

Modern center console rear a/c and heat

I can only speak to my experience with this swap. I used a doner 2006 gmc yukon, then swapped in motor/trans and factory ecm to my burb I Also fitted the leather heated seats from the yukon. I had to retain driver and passenger door modules and factory seat heater controls for the heat to work...

Major rust repair 91 burban 1500

Your tubs look better than mine did. From your pics it Looks like you can save most of the inner areas that gave me the biggest problem, patch the spare tire well and only cut the rot. My wheel tubs were rotted almost the entire circumference. I had to use the entire tub assembly so you may get...

Major rust repair 91 burban 1500

If I find time, I'll dig out my arm rests and put'em on and see if they fit. Remember It's only metal after all. shape, weld, grind until It does what you want. I only went this route because it was the only viable option I could find. How bad is your rust? Need some pics already lol

Major rust repair 91 burban 1500

3 row seat and seat belt retractor's fit fine. The 3rd row arm rests might/might not fit,I haven't tried putting them on. There's about an inch clearance on both sides of the seat cushion.

Major rust repair 91 burban 1500

They fit to the inside of the panel great. And met up against the floor pan no problem. The toughest part for me was inside towards the back spare tire well, mine was nonexistent so I had to get a little creative. Hopefully your rust won't be as bad. I sectioned a third tub for the spare tire...

Modern center console rear a/c and heat

Can't speak to the console but newer seats won't function stand alone without a data signal from bcm/ecm.

Major rust repair 91 burban 1500

I used new wheel tubs for the pickup on my 1990 v2500 burb they are just slightly longer and shaped slightly different towards the rear. I made them fit nice with a little work.

    Seat options '90 Burb

Sorry no, i didn't think to take some pics at the time. But i can try to take a few Pics of my floor pans from underneath when I get home from work. And just as a side note, the seat heaters in these gmc yukon seats need a data signal from pcm to operate. I my case I'm using the P59 pcm from the...

    What compressor/gas?

You might be able to tell if it's been converted by checking if the port connectors have the 134a adapters threaded on.

You should go for it! I take my square on the beach every chance I get, and when I get home I rinse the crap out of it. So far so good.

    Seat options '90 Burb

I installed these heated,12 way adjustable leather seats in my 90 burb and they are awesome. They came from a 2005 yukon, I'm not sure how they compare to 1995 in terms of mounting them in. But mine required channeling the floor pans to get the seat to sit low enough. It was totally worth doing...

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

I've been using these wheel spacers for the last two years with no issues. For the first 6 months i would periodically retorque the lugs and found no changes. My real concern was they would loosen, but that fear is gone now. And i love how the rear wheels fit now. Just my experience.

Can someone point me in the right direction on a 78 c20 rear disc conversion

I was planning to convert to rear disk on my burb as part of upgrading the brakes, but a few months ago i installed the wilwood d52 duel piston calipers and a set of rotors from summit racing on the fronts. And holy crap the burb stops so good now I'm leaving the rears alone. Just throwing it...

    Puzzled

It's also possible a diode has shorted in the alternator. Disconnect the battery wire from the back of the alternator and see if the short goes away
