    Bilstein Shocks Bushing/Sleeve Question

I had no problems putting on a set. They were long enough for my 6" lift. I ordered them by length. 33-185552 B8 5125 front and 33-185569 B8 5125 rear. Slid on like they were supposed to. Zero complaints.

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

Back mount. Front of burb to the left. Im looking straight up, with the beginning of the tape in line with the body where the wire disappears in the pic. Looking out the back of the burb.. The distance from that rooftop body line decreases as it starts to round to the back. Its more like 1 1/4"...

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

Middle mount. It measures the same from that roof bodyline, 1 3/4". Again, front of burb to the left. Sorry this one got turned. Middle mount again. The measure in this pic obviously reflects the location of the mount to that body line not the bolt hole center. Front of burb would be up in this pic

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

This is the front mount on the outside. Here you can see the bodyline I was referencing on the inside, but on the outside. The long pine needle is set right along it just in case it didn't come out well in the picture.

1990 suburban Factory roof rack location

I'll see if I can help. I didn't mount mine and don't know if it's in the correct location or not. It works but there's some things I would change. If it was me I would just put it all together lay it down on the roof make sure it's close to square and drill some holes. More on that after some...

What have you done to your square lately??

Decided to start messing with the rear heater in the burb. All the parts were in a box in the back with a destroyed housing. Looks like I'll be making my own box or surround for it. Hopefully something that's strong enough to not be broken again next time Filled the core and it leaked.. bummer...

    Axle swap help

They should just fine. 74 should have a 44 not a 10 bolt but doesn't really matter. Are you doing it for the gear change? 4.10- 4.11 comes in a lot of 3/4 ton running gear. Though it means a wheel swap though too of you were to go that route. I get it though if you got a deal for the axles

Don't know if its normal for your 87 but I've had many trucks with spring ends like that. Some in my driveway..

What are some options for mud flaps?

I've always used welcome mats for mudflaps with the welcome side to the tire. I get them 'free' from my neighbors.

What have you done to your square lately??

I appreciate you posting this. I'm considering doing the same thing with Noico. Did you put anything over top of that? My focus is a little more about keeping heat in than sound out though.

    Let’s see your memorabilia?!

Not sure that the four wheeler magazine plate counts. Extra points for anybody who knows where the 'this machine bites' plate came from. Gotta love the jeepster tonka truck.

    Intermediate shaft help

Speedway also has all of the U-joints and shafts in any style you need to build your own. I built mine for around $60. They have joints with 'D' on one side and any spline count on the other, bolt on or weld on. I know its a thing people do but I like chevy parts on my jeep, not jeep parts on my...

Which steering bracket from hogback or steering bracket from ORD?

I have the ORD brace so I can't comment on the Hogback one. Definitely made the steering feel more solid.

    Bought a 73 F100 4x4

I love dentsides, sweet truck! I have a 76 F250 in my driveway that my grandfather bought new. Im a very proud 3rd generation to drive it, and one of my boys will be the 4th. Had Cope Bros build the 360 into a 390 with a nice cam back in the 80's. (Man, that makes me feel old) I rebuilt the...

    Manual spring starter

I get your point. Not looking at air starters. Finding the spring starter isnt too hard. There's a few makers I've seen already. I was asking if anybody has adapted one to a square. I know its a long shot but it could save me some of the legwork is all. Even considered adapting a Coffman...
