    You see, I know fluid is measured hot, that’s how I added the fluid. But checked comd it was half way up the dipstick. Started truck and it’s maybe a pint overfill. Why’s the fluid so much higher cold?

    I went and checked the trans fluid esrlier, cold, been sitting a few days, and it’s way high? Start the truck wait a few minutes and it’s a little high, maybe a pint according to the “add 1 pint” to “full” range. Is fluid being way over full cold a bad sign or normal?

    At this point all I’ve got left is drill it out or replace it, the joint had a leak so I bought new studs and the last stud that had threads lost them during disassembly. I need to get this fixed then I can finish out my 2.5” exhaust since apparently dual 2” is too small lol

I’ve tried candle wax, different wd40’s, lots of heat, impacts, vice grips, pouring cold water on it, tapping it with a sledge hammer aggressively, just about everything.     You see I don’t know exactly what the engine came out of so I don’t know what the replacement needs to be, I’d spend $40 on a manifold. I spent $50 on a map gas torch that got me nowhere.

    Anyone got any tips to get the flange studs out of the exhaust manifold. I’ve tried everything I have access to and even bought a MAP gas torch. I cannot get them loose.

    I’ve got relays from my ls swap, what gauge wire do I need to run to the pump? I can run small from ignition to relay for a signal but what size do I need from 12v to relay and relay to pump?

    83, originally a 6.2 diesel. Previous owner broke the crank, drove home, built a 350, dropped in and was in the process of working out bugs when he traded it to a buddy who neglected it and so he figured it was too far gone listed it for sale I traded my one ton for it.

    Should I use input as just an ignition or while cranking aswell? When I got it they had it on the firewall tapped into dist wire.

    For that pump would I need a relay or could I just run it to ignition? I have some relays left over from my ls swap. I’d like to get this blazer running sooner than later and hope everything else works out fine. Gotta get a belt and make the gauges work

    I’ll try and get around to going for a test drive. Just now getting home today, so not happening today. I can drive it like I stole it and something will definitely happen, hopefully just a hard shift lol then I’ll know this trans is fine

    Rod is straught I stuck it in a drill and polished it with 600 grit sandpaper to clean it up.

    I have no idea I bought it knowing it was a vortec block and while I was under it I saw 088, the blazer was originally a diesel. If I have to pull the 350 out I’ll just swap to a carb block. I guess I’ll look into an electric pump that’s more reliable and low psi. Any recommendations? The...

    @Matt69olds i have park reverse neutral and atleast one forward gear, I haven’t gone fast enough for a shift yet. I was just told it didn’t shift after a rebuild. I saw cheap K5 blazer, running somewhat driving, so I snagged on it. I can try the governor trick, I haven’t heard that one yet lol...

    @squaredeal91 you see I considered that since I had an issue with the cts on my 87, but it’s below 30° today here in Tennessee, so I’m trying to come up with everything to do at once before going outside lol

    I’ll look into it more later, I haven’t ran the truck a lot but I have got it up to temp twice. It started up without throttle prior to tbi rebuild but it idled so high it didn’t matter, I’m hoping it’s just an iac issue, something simple.
