    Wheel bearings auto hubs

Thank you! I just got it not long ago it’s a work in progress. Just ordered a custom auto sounds radio last night since I love them and even better you don’t have to cut the dash lol

Since I’m not positive if this truck has been shown or not, here’s some photos with the new wheels and tires I just got. 15x12’s with 32x11.50x15.

    Wheel bearings auto hubs

Honestly not sure how dumb this question might be and I can’t find a direct answer or figure it out myself. I’ve got a 1976 Chevrolet k10 350/350/np203 with the auto hubs in the front, they’re just chrome cups and I have no idea how to get them off… the truck has new rotors(still have the...

    Voltage issues

That’s what the pump look like, two rubber lines and a hard line tank had atleast two visible, a larger and a smaller. I have the steering column apart in the 76 it is currently not driveable but I can start it etc(turn signal switch replacement)

    Voltage issues

I’ll hook up my vacuum bleeder tool thingy tomorrow and see if anything happens, I know when I reconnected it the timing didn’t change. There’s no vacuum leak so the diaphragm isn’t blown out it’s just not pulling timing

    Voltage issues

@AuroraGirl on manifold vacuum it should pull timing should it not? Since vacuum is at the highest at idle and at cruising? Too much or not enough fuel pressure? It’s got a new factory fuel pump.

    Voltage issues

Im Home now, I can see atleast 2 lines on the tank, a larger and a smaller. Since I’m home now I can answer questions faster and get photos

    Bent clutch linkage

I got the starting issue resolved I drove the truck today, slightly popping and crackling when shifting etc, but the starter was missing a bolt connecting the solenoid and the end cap bolts were loose. The starter was literally falling apart. I also added a starter brace.

    Voltage issues

@AuroraGirl ill check the tank, the pump had two rubber(tank?) and a metal line(to carb) I’m running 8° but I had vacuum advance on manifold, I check mechanical timing and it made it change but when I reconnected the vacuum advance it didn’t change (20inhg at idle)

    Voltage issues

I have no way of currently checking timing, the timing tab is destroyed it’s flattened against front of block. Carb is supposedly freshly rebuilt and I admit it’s the cleanest out of all my vehicles and I’ve tuned on it enough now that it opens the secondaries without issue. Sorry I couldn’t...

    Voltage issues

I mean starting it once warm, I always press it for first crank to set choke. But I shouldn’t have to set choke after I’ve drove it and just shut it off ten seconds prior

    Voltage issues

The 78 is a manual, the 76 is the only automatic I own. I did not change the starter as the thickness was different, I would’ve needed shorter bolts by around a half inch. The timing on the 78 is at 8° btdc mechanical advance works but I don’t think the vacuum advance is functioning. It’s not...

    Voltage issues

Oh since you might not have been on any of my other threads, the 78 is a 350/sm464/np205 with an edelbrock 1405. The 76 is a 350/350/np203 with a factory quadrajet. My issue with the 78 is off idle rich black haze from exhaust fuel smell and popping/crackling. The 76 will fire up and run no...

    Voltage issues

I’ve got both trucks cranking now, but what could be causing the 78 to suddenly run rich and pop and crackle through exhaust? I showed a video of a flame lol And what’s up with the 76 not firing? It’ll crank and fire but if it doesn’t catch it won’t stay running and then it will crank infinity I...

    Voltage issues

Took the starter off cleaned it with brake clean reassembled, replaced missing screw and tightened another screw holding the end cap on and so far it’s working pretty well truck fired up instantly I drove it around the yard to operating temp shut it off and it fired right back up. It is still...

    Voltage issues

I went and checked my mini starters, one is a staggered bolt other straight, so I should be able to use the staggered one correct? Is the wiring the same?
  17. iamtherealJayy

    Voltage issues

Damn I really don’t want to change the starter. But I’ve got two of those mini starters would one of them work? I can get photos of them later I was going to try and use one on my 357

    Voltage issues

I think I found an issue on the work truck. The solenoid is missing a bolt and it moves, all connections are tight except that, also the “turbo” noise is the alternator lol. Is this missing bolt/screw an easy to replace one like can I obtain it from a parts bin ? Or is it some specialty bolt? I...

** meant to insert this video. Revving from idle to ~3500 rpm. Edit: there’s also a new noise that sounds similar to a blow off valve or turbo flutter in a way. Here’s a clip

    Voltage issues

Spent $340 today on two batteries… one for work truck and one for the 76. Work truck cranked and started after a few cranks, ran like absolute garbage sounded terrible smelled terrible running absurdly rich and shooting massive flames from exhaust. Initial timing is at 8° btdc. Mechanical...

    Bent clutch linkage

Well I replaced the battery and the teuck cranked up ran like crap. It’s “rolling coal” and shooting flames when you rev it and the scent of fuel is outstanding. Initial Timing is at 8° btdc. What’s my issue now. Oh also after letting it run and thermostat open trucks still cranking slow
  22. iamtherealJayy

    Voltage issues

Yes the multimeter directly to battery read 0.28v… it got uhm taken care of and I had to buy a new one. Battery reads 12.49 as is no load or anything I didn’t have time to test cranking yet
  23. iamtherealJayy

    Voltage issues

I’m not sure whether battery is shot or multimeter retired early but I tried to check voltage and it said 0.28v but gauge inside showed maybe 9/10 before cranking and dropped off when cranking.

    Voltage issues

Starter is maybe a year old, I had starter issues in the truck for a long time until I started to understand shimming it because it wasn’t engaging all the way

    Voltage issues

The advance weights spring back to position when you’d told me to check, I haven’t checked that since on this truck, I went to check voltage today and multimeter read 0.28v but the truck still cranked slowly. Multimeter might taken retirement early not sure yet I was just tinkering around on my...
