Since noones given any input in over 24h I took it back apart and swapped some old parts back in. Still leaking still running worse than before. So I took the primary bowl and metering block back off nothing looked obviously wrong. I replaced the screw gaskets and reassembled and I didn’t see any fuel leaks until the truck died then it poured out all around the metering block. The truck is running really rich. Got the carb back on… fired up after a second of cranking and ran smooth for a second then started really running poorly. It’s leaking fuel from everywhere except the fuel inlet. The engine isn’t in optimal condition by any means, if I shift above 3k rpm it blows some blue smoke. Just updating on here, trucks getting ready for an ls swap and tuner requested my rearend ratio so I got on summit and did some mathematicals. 55mph at ~2000rpm with a 255/70/15 is 3.14… 3.08 was an option in half ton trucks, so I’m thinking the reason I’ve never had any power from this truck...- iamtherealJayy

Yes the bell housing should bolt right to it minus two I believe there’s one extra on the block and one ear on the bell housing that doesn’t go into block, but don’t quote that. I’ll have to look into float height, I noticed it was wet under the throttle linkage, on an edelbrock that’s sign of float too high. I think half of the running issue is the accelerator pump. My speedometer works fine, the needle is just clocked wrong. My odometer tracks accurately enough to know I’m averaging almost 9mpg with an edelbrock currently. I added the ignition power wire it was ran inside and I found a spot on the fuse box that had ignition power and stuck it there. The truck seems to still be running rich, it doesn’t have reverse lights and I was backing up in the dark so I was going slow and the truck stalled and it sputtered...- iamtherealJayy

So if I find a ignition power source and connect positive to it that’ll help some, I’ll start with that the choke closes after you press the throttle but I had the truck running for probably 15-20 minutes and the choke still hadn’t opened on its own.
