    Square body being towed

My buddy's wife destroyed his Suzuki Sidekick droving it back from town, a one hour drive, in low gear. She said it sounded louder than she remembered. He was out in his yard when he heard this whining sound coming up the highway. He sees his his Sidekick coming with a cloud of smoke behind it...

Leaf spring and other suspension questions

Your spring rate is just really high for load carrying abilities. Yes old/cheap/or ten ply tires do contribute to a harsher ride but most of your teeth rattling is from the spring rates.

    Transmission Oil Cooler

They also had an engine oil cooler too, which was super cool. I have one on a parts truck here, maybe a 78 k20 BB, TH400 and that crappy transfer case that doesn't have 2wd.. well anyway it has a pretty cool factory oil cooler!

    Im kinda sad/ticked off....Lund Visor

I don't think you'll end up stuck with that visor, you have an option waiting right here. But your vendor guy needs to straighten out. Anyway fwiw, yes you can modify and 'fit' fiberglass all day with the right tools. However it's work and time.. messy as fak.. and if your mucking around on...

Maybe he's looking for the correct one he owes you.. trying to be optimistic. Was this a private deal or he is a vendor?

Try brake cleaner, but just do a test spot first. It will either lift the stick or ... make it worse. Finish with a polymer like ArmorAll .. or better.

    GMC vs. CHEVROLET

I think every manufacture's truck from the late 90s and up looks like smashed goat turds, gettig worse with each new model. Bunch of fat liberal women.

Recommend method for cleaning fuel tank

I have cleaned rusty motorcycle tanks with sand blasting. It took a lot of rinsing to get the sand out. Compressed air to dry it out followed by WD40. My first tank of gas was 50.1 premix from my dirt bike. It was all I ahd and I thought the oil in suspension could only help prevent any new...

Shocks! How much down travel needed?

Finding 3"of compression from a static position is... about unobtainable... The arch on a lift spring, under compression, gets longer and longer. There's isn't room and the rear shackle (yes front suspension) will swing back and hit the frame. hat why these old school lift springs are over...

    Why You No Hood Emblem?

The V8 (V=******?) model looks to be umm, anatomically correct. I want to see it closer up with better lighting and a better angle to verify.

    Driveshaft options for 1991 r3500 4wd conversion

Use a CV joint at the TC and point the pinion and driveshaft directly at the CV. Slip joint in the driveshaft. Long shocks and brake lines to allow for max suspension droop. A shackle reverse setup poi ts the diff in almost the perfect place. The shaft as I said from the pinion is pointed...

    Normal operation of 4wd

Yeah get it cleaned up and look at the shift mechanism/lever first. I doubt you would have an NP205 but just saying that you can get a rock into the shifting parts and cause a jam. Other transfer cases can have just a cable. Maybe disconnect the cable or rod from the shift lever on the TC. Try...

You're absolutely correct, yes you can ditch the bottom spring and end up with a standard Tuff **** spring.

Planning ahead for 3/4T 4WD Suburban suspension

Those 2" front lift springs, ORD or Tough Country will give amazing droop travel if you run a ford shock mount and longer shocks, and remove or quick disconnect sway bar. However without cross over steering if you droop the drivers wheel you can't really turn left. The less arch a spring has...
