What is a NOS grill worth?

I know that it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay, but what seems to be a realistic price? There is an auction coming up that has a new grill listed, appears to be a NOS 75-80 grill. I won't be positive until I look at it next week. Not sure how to tell exactly what year it's for...

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

Depends on what you want to do with it. It would be handy for moving dirt or snow, loader looks decent but I don't see a bucket for it, back blade is handy for grading. If it has a PTO you could mow with it. Make sure parts are availible before commiting to it. I have a 9N that I use for...

Talk me out of cutting my dash

I think I have that same Alpine deck in my basement, unfortunately I'm planning to use it in my 78. Might have some knobs laying around, will check and see.

What have you done to your square lately??

We have a local shop that does great work and is very reasonably priced. They are also honest about if you would be better off buying a new starter over having yours rebuilt. I once took a large truck starter to them and they returned it cleaned and painted, no charge, it was just dirty...

What have you done to your square lately??

Got the starter back in my CUCV. Last snow (about 3 weeks ago) I went out to plow and the dam thing wouldn't start. Couldn't plow, but luckily it was a light snow, so no problem, shoveled the driveway by hand. Pulled the starter and had it rebuilt, took 2 weeks to get it back. Installed it...

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

I had to take mine off when I put my snowplow on, and I am pretty sure it would work with the stock bumper. I think the only difference in the CUCV bumper and stock are the blackout light and tow hook cutouts. I won't be at my shop anytine soon, but I can look at it the next time I am there if...

    1978-1981 Stepside Fuel Filler Neck

I have been told that no one is reproducibg them. I need a pair of early ones for my truck too, when I bought the bed I didn't get the fillers with it. Your best bet is finding a used one.

Do they help keep the snow off your back window? My Blazer sucks while driving in the snow, back window keeps getting covered with snow. Have to stop and clear it off every so often.

    Advanced wiring 1.0 question

Yeah, thats the one. I tried squeezing it, must not of squeezed hard enough. Just don't want to screw it up worse than it is. Any suggestions for a reasonably priced crimper gor those connectors? Actually the truck isn't hacked up, just the wiring in the starter circuit. Damm CUCV's have...

    Advanced wiring 1.0 question

Trying to get the starter working on the CUCV and I think the problem is the number of splices in the wiring to the selenoid are causing enough of a voltage drop that it won't engage. The POs hacked it up quite a bit. I would like to replace the wire from the engine side of the fuse block to...

What have you done to your square lately??

CUCV won't start, just clicks. Trying to sort out the wiring, but it has a unique 12/24 volt system. Found a couple of spliced wires that weren't spliced very good, and tried to solder the connections, but I think it is too cold out for my soldering gun, or the soldering gun isn't big enough...

    Converting 89 r1500 into a 1 ton 2wd

I'm not sure, but when I was rebuilding my crew cab dually my cab was rotted out, so I was thinking about using the front of a burb and stretching the cab a little so I could use the fold flat burb rear seat. Seems like the pickup frame kicked up sooner than a burb frame. It's been quite a...

    Converting 89 r1500 into a 1 ton 2wd

I thought there was quite a difference between a pick up and burb frame. I thought the pickup frame came up sooner under the back seats.

Scores from DIY Parts Yards, Pull A Part, U Pull It etc

Spent the afternoon at the PAP last week before the storm blew in. Needed a wiring harness for a factory radio for the CUCV. Got that, a pair of dash speakers, some rear speaker brackets for one of my pickups, and found a set of knobs for my radio. Also picked up a decent pair of front turn...

What have you done to your square lately??

I understand that. If I can get it close to straight it will work. The plow mount is pretty loose, I was lacking less than 1/4" of getting it hooked back up so I could finish the job.

What have you done to your square lately??

If I can't fix it right today I will try that just to finish plowing out this storm, but it stretched the pin hole out real bad, so I doubt if it will last long. I am out of acetylene right now, or I would have tried that yesterday.

What have you done to your square lately??

They sell them, found one online, but I hope I can find one locally this morning. It's just a piece of about 1 1/4" bar stock, but it has a slight bend in it which would be very hard to duplicate without a huge press. I tried to straighten mine out in a 10 ton press ant it didn't budge.
