What new tools have you got lately?
Not squarebody related (unless you count the squarebody trailer I use for my firewood), but a tool just the same. Picked up a bunch of rejected logs from a post mill and my old saw (also a Farm Boss) finally gave up (after only 20 years or so of use ☹️). Been cutting and splitting all week... -

I think I'm going to check the resistor first. Snowed today, luckily not enough that I had to plow. Hopefully I can get to it tomorrow. -

Pulled the heater blower motor off my CUCV, its been blowing the fuse every time I turn it on. Seemed to spin free, so I bench checked it, and it works fine. It has been replaced before, because there is a NAPA sticker on it. So now I am not sure what is causing the fuse to blow. Really need... -

Put the plow on since there is a chance of snow today, although it will probably be just rain, according to the weatherman. Dam heavy stuff took out a large branch on my tree. -

City had a free tire disposal week, so I have been busy breaking down tires. I bought an old Coats Tireman tire machine a while back, finally mounted it to the floor and got to work. Project Blazer had rotted tires on it, but also had locks on 3 of the wheels, and no key. Tried pounding an old... -

Old six cylinder stuff

NV4500 Swap Question
I'm not positive, but it seems like there are clearance issues if it is a 4x4. I'm planning to put a NV4500 in my 78 K10 and that is what I was told. You are probably going to need an adapter for the transfer case.- SDJunkMan

Insulation on a Budget
Has anyone used that foil bubble wrap looking stuff? I thought about using it in my doors, above the headliner, and on the back of the cab. -
Hood Latch Repair Patch
I might be able to cut a section out of my 78 hood, it's got the normal bend in it and I plan to replace it, just haven't got around to it yet. Don't think mine is rusted, but will check if you are interested. -

That's good to know. I'll have to check with my local machine shop and see if they can do it and what they would charge. Might be able to save a couple of bucks on shipping, we've been thinking about a camping trip to Utah after visiting my son in Denver next year, and thought about picking...- SDJunkMan

I haven't picked up the shaft (get it tomorrow) so I'm not sure of the length. Should a regular automotive machine shop be able to bore the case or do I need to take it to a regular machine shop? I happened to be checking out an auction for the estate of a old repair shop owner, a lot of 50's...- SDJunkMan

Probably not the right thread, but since you are talking about the input shaft, I thought I would ask here. I just picked up a front shaft with gears that is supposed to be for a TH400, and hopefully a NV4500. I hope to use it on a NV4500 swap on my 78 K10. Do these fit all 205 transfer...- SDJunkMan

Mounting tires at home
Yup, got the mounting bar, pretty sure everything is there including a couple of extra tire bars and the jig to hold tne tire while patching it. I need to make an adapter for wide 5 wheels though, have some VW tires to dismount.
