What new tools have you got lately?

Went to a couple of neighborhood yard sales yesterday and picked up a few things that I didn’t need but couldn’t pass up. Pair of 6 ton jack stands for $10, Craftsman 1/4 socket set for $3, and a couple of 25’ tape measures for a buck each. Guy at another sale had a Milwaukee 4 1/2” grinder in...

    Blazer window woonky

The window jumped off the track the other day, so I took it apart. Not seeing any way to align the arms, I just put it back together so I could use the truck. It seems to work fine now, are the arms supposed to be that far off? Maybe I am worried about nothing?

    Blazer window woonky

The rear window on my CUCV has gotten lopsided. I took it apart and it appeared that the mechanism has jumped a few teeth on one side. Any way to align it, or do I need a new mechanism? Do they even make them?

    Camper into a utility trailer?

I've done one. The hubs on that trailer use odd wheels, not a normal 5 bolt pattern. They do take quite a bit of work to demo, and create a lot of trash. Frames are usually very light, as the structure adds strength to it. It will work for light duty jobs, but nothing heavy. Kind of fun...

Should I go topless this summer?

I haven't got that far yet, but will probably do something similar. It rained a lot last week and more forecast for this wee, so I haven't got too motivated yet.

Should I go topless this summer?

Maybe I'll give it a try, I have a fiberglass cap for my Ford pickup and put that on from time to time, so am familiar with the awkwardness. I don't think I would like running without the doors unless I had some of the tube style 1/2 doors or something. I was more concerned with the exhaust...

Should I go topless this summer?

Soft top would be nice, but I don't want to spend that much on the old girl.

Should I go topless this summer?

Thinking about taking the top off my CUCV Blazer for the summer, wondering if it's worth the effort. I've never had a convertible, or anything with a removable top, just a couple of cars with sunroofs, which didn't do anything for me. I'm not worried about security, I rarely lock it, and...

    Speedometer inaccurate and bounces

I'm curious what you find, my CUCV speedo is acting up too. It started bouncing around from one extreme to the other, so I pulled the cable and lubed it. Now it still bounces a little, but is not accurate, and is not consistent on how far off it is. When it says 45, I am doing closer to 35, if...

If you are coming through the Black Hills, I may be able to help if you run into problems, just depends on when you are going to be in the area, I will be out of town for a few days towards tbe end of the month.

Where in Colorado are you? Any trucks with decent beds in that yard? I'm probably heading down to Denver and the Springs in the next week or two.
