    Splitting main harness plug

I am trying to remove the wiring for the TBI on the 89 burb that I am scrapping and wonder if I can separate the section of the firewall plug that contains the wiring that I need. It looks like it will come apart but is pretty solid. I need the section on the left. Any pointers other than...

What have you done to your square lately??

I was hoping to be able to do something like that. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

What have you done to your square lately??

Been stripping out my 89 parts burb and getting ready to drop the fuel tank. Seems like it has quite a bit of fuel in it (no batteries in it when I got it, so I wasn't able to check the gauge). I am wondering if I can hotwire the fuel pump to empty the tank. Is there anything tricky about the...

    Kill switch ideas?

My VW came with something like that, I'm pretty sure the dealer installed it. Never really used it, just left it plugged in most of the time, unless we were in a crappy part of town, or going to be away for a few days.

    Things you find on OfferUp

Yeah, they were also 4 wheel steer if I remember right. Think they came with a 5.9 Cummings possibly.

Do we have a show us your shop thread?

Dam, after hearing how many of you work in the dirt or driveway, I should probably quit bitching about my shop's uneven floor, leaky roof, and lack of heat or AC.

A negative arch is normal for a stock front spring, not sure about a M1008 CUCV.

1st Annual N. Texas Square Body Forum Truck Rally

I would like to have a square there too, but don't think I'll have one ready for a long trip by then. I'm still pulling the pieces off a couple of parts trucks that I bought, hope to get to actually working on one of them this fall.

No problem. Let me know if you change your mind, it's not going anywhere for a while. I'm a vendor at Sturgis and will be busy with that for the next month.

1st Annual N. Texas Square Body Forum Truck Rally

I work for Unifi, used to be Delta Global Services. We contract for Delta and United here in Rapid City. We fly free on Delta and cheap on United and a couple of others. With DFW being American's hub, you should have no problem getting there.

I've got a 81 3/4 ton 2 wheel dr frame if that will do you any good. I haven't pulled the truck apart yet, but I'm pretty sure the frame is OK. I don't know what part of North Dakota you are in, but I am in Rapid City.

1st Annual N. Texas Square Body Forum Truck Rally

I would love to go, but would also have to fly since it is over 1000 miles and I don't think I would have a square that's up for the trip ready by then. Flying is no problem, since I work for the airlines, and it would be great to meet some of you. Count me in.

What have you done to your square lately??

I'm guessing trailer, wires head to the back, definatly not a plow, truck never had one. I was just curious since it looked factory, and I have never seen a harness like that before. I've had a couple of people ask if it has an electronic speedo, but it has a cable. After pulling the gauges...

Harbor Freight Recalls REPLACEMENT Jack Stands

I recently picked up a nice old set of Walker 6 ton stands, so might have to return a pair of the HF 6 tons that I have. I have another pair of 6 ton stands (not HF) that I might try putting a locking pin in. Don't think I need 3 sets of 6 ton stands. I think one of my pairs of 3 tons are...

What have you done to your square lately??

My son is up from Denver helping me, so we made prety good progress on the burb yesterday. Got the front clip and doors off, as well as most of the interior and a lot of small parts. Came across this on the drivers side fender, not sure what it is, part of a trailer harness, or the rear a/c ?
