Modding an OEM radio to have bluetooth.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=447435 Here's a link to a thread on another forum that tells how to ad a aux input to an older radio. You might be able to find a bluetooth reciever and add it instead of a aux jack.

http://www.mar-k.com/ Not sure which pieces you are reffering to, but these guys carry a lot of stepside parts.

    What do we have here?

Probably a Cab and chassis. They have a different wheelbase than pickups, and the rear axle is narrower than a dually pickup.

    Help with price.

You can pick up a cheap 4 1/2" grinder at Harbor Freight for about $10. I have a few of them and they are OK for ocasional use. It does look like a pretty good bed, like others have said, too bad I'm so far away.:(

Put the plow back on yesterday. Been snowing all week, but not much accumulation. We’re supposed to get 4”-8” tonight.

Yes, it was actuated by an electrical solonid. I think it replaced the tail shaft housing.

One day builds, or quick projects

Plus 4 rolls of ice barrier, 2 rolls of underlayment, and 2 bundles of ridge cap shingles. No wonder it's taken me a week to recover:eek: Makes me wonder if I really want to build a garage next spring.

One day builds, or quick projects

Yeah, that's my next project. Didn't realize how bad it was until we got up on the roof and started working. Especially since the dam shingle loader we were going to rent broke, so we had to hump all of the shingles up by hand.

One day builds, or quick projects

Not a quick project but it’s been keeping me busy. Put a new roof on the house and replaced most of the fascia boards. My son came out for a week and we hoped to get it done in that time, but ended up taking 10 days to get it sealed back up. Put on 60 bundles of shingles. I’m getting too old...

What have you done to your square lately??

I have a 125 that I really like, but the carb is acting up so I haven't used it in a while. Also have a 125 parts tractor and a 70 that needs a steering colum. Water got in the steering box and froze. I read somewere that a 125 steering colum will work on it, but other places say no, just...

    CUCV vs civilian model differences?

The CUCV uses a J code diesel, not really sure what is different between it and the standard diesel. Also all CUCV's are built to 1984 specs, no matter what year they were built. The wiring on them is totally different than civilian trucks, mostly due to the 12/24 volt system. They are only...

1981 Motorhome - Whats under its... err.. tunnel?

Make sure it's a Chevy, a lot of those had Chrysler running gear under them. Not real hard to tear the motorhome apart, but it makes a hell of a mess. I just passed up a free one that had a 440 in it, and a generator, because I didn't have any place to strip it out. Some of the class A's also...

What have you done to your square lately??

I don't have a use for it right now, but if it's salvageable I'll hang on to it. I'll probably get it torn down the rest of the way this weekend, and see how it looks.

What have you done to your square lately??

Opened up the engine from the parts burn to see what killed it. Ran out of time to dig any deeper. Any chance that the block is salvageable?

    Gotta love TBI

I am thinking about putting the TBI from my parts burb on my 80, but it looks like the wiring would be a real bitch. I kept the harness and computer from the burb, so should have everything I need but the electric fuel pump. Has anyone here done a swap?

    Steering Wheel

Yes, the center piece with the 3 holes is an adapter. There should be a piece with a contact for the horn that goes through the 4th (green) hole. On a aftermarket wheel a hire is used sometimes, it should attach to a plate that floats on springs that go over the 3 bolts.

    Splitting main harness plug

I was able to pull the whole engine side of the harness off, sono need to split it yet. I was thinking about putting the TBI on my 80, but after seeing how much wiring I will have to add, I’m not sure if I’ll try it.

What have you done to your square lately??

Got the engine and tranny out of the parts burb today. Damm 90-100 degree temps this week didn’t help. As soon as I get all of the parts I pulled off and make some room in the shop, I’m going to pull the K5 in and swap trannies.
